still no mudguards/flaps/wings though
Personally, I'd be looking to the treatment of the Talbot Lago T26 for inspiration.

The basic car was very similar in appearance to the Alfa, but came in both single-seater (T26C) and sports racing (T26 Gran Sport - with mudguards and lights) variants:

If its designed with safety aspects of IVA in mind it should be fine.

Biggest problem I see is the seat belt upper mounts. May need a bigger speed bulge or a roll bar to mount them on to meet the strict dimensional requirements. I would like to think the basic spaceframe is properly designed so should get past that aspect of IVA. The rest is going to be dimensional rules and strength of belt anchorages, steering column safety etc. If its on CAD then stuff like that could changed easily then just modify the chassis jig to suit.

Lights on spindle, big mirrors, cycle wings, padded wheel, headrest etc are relatively easy to do without effecting shape of car. Some such items can be easily "lost" post IVA or replaced with something more in period. As said, a subsequent MOT will unlikely pick it up and no photo or parts list record is ever kept of a cars state at IVA so no easy way to prove anything. You risk an over zealous VOSA inspection man picking some of it up though.

Found this in another thread:

The oversize roll bar looks like its been designed with IVA in mind. (best to check obvs). So i guess thats an optional extra as none of the other pics on his website show it.
