Spotted this JPR Wildcat E-Type low drag coupe for sale.

I think there were about 3 of these low drag style coupe Wildcats made, though some have been modified or custom made.
I remember this same Wildcat for sale in the 2014 Wildcat club magazine for just 12k. I've seen a much nicer example than this one. I think the rear looks awful compared to the real McCoy, and the ride height is too high.

I wouldn't say £400 quid but I wouldn't say 40 grand either. Considering this same car was for sale in 2014 for 12k and now for 40k that's one big price jump. There are better examples out there, there's a silver one which used to be owned by the bloke who bought the Wildcat roadster I sold two years ago that was my late fathers. The silver one looked really stunning.

I think half the E-Types sub 40k are just project cars that aren't the money they are asking for, and anything half decent will be upwards of 60k, or 2+2s that noone really wants. And also a kit car will be much cheaper to run of course.
A lot of e types have provided free motoring for lots of enthusiasts, I am assuming if you buy a kit car you are probably an enthusiast.

It may be god awful (to some), but at least it runs and isn't a rust buckets like more original E-Types would be at that price, and if it's not rusty it soon would be. OTT price it is considering it was for sale a few years ago for 12 grand (I think it's been for sale numerous times over the years). Found the same car for sale on the Jaguar classifieds website.
I just took a look. Yes, it's horrific! That's just my opinion though. Something is worth what someone's willing to pay for it. The asking price must be a very optimistic stab in the dark!
I understand that we like certain cars because they look good, but a kit car's often an old banger with a fibreglass body fixed onto it. Where's the high value in that? Each to their own...

Mate, just take a look at the interior...... Then take a look at the body shape......
Then look at the price......
FORTY thousand pounds.....
You cannot even compare that to a rusty real one. It is 40k. And take another look at that interior.

You're too kind.It's a kit car chassis, with some Jaguar suspension, a Nissan engine and gearbox. I doubt if the kit has ever been finished. Basically an odd collection of parts with an irrelevant log book. It's what in the old days was called a Bitza.
It's what I would call a pile of junk.
