Hi guys

I have a black top zetec in my fiesta running zx9r carbs. I figured there would be more of your guys that have experience of both in here.

I'm considering putting a set of 45 dhla's or 45 dcoes on my 2.0 blacktop instead of the bike carbs.

I feel like I need a little bit more adjustment than I have with the bike carbs. Car runs good, I just feel like there's more to be had especially lower in the rpm range.

Be interested to here your thoughts.

Also anyone have base settings for dhla's?

Ive never seen additional fuel enrichment systems on a bike carb for hard acceleration, so in that respect a weber wins hands down. Haynes do (or did at least) a good manual on Webers and how to work out the required choke size and jets, but its a bit of a black art to say the least.
First thing to do is fit an air fuel ratio gauge to the car with a wide band lambda sensor in the exhaust so you can see what the mixture is doing at various loads and revs. You are pissing in the wind if you try and do it with the world famous Bum dyno'.

Thanks blitz , I have a wideband afr already. An it confirms my suspicions that there an issue. It's an issue I think I could deal with in. Set of more adjustable carbs. My problem is I go really rich when the throttle is opened. And then abit lean up top . It doesn't seem to effect it whet ever I do with the carbs.

I have sourced a pair of dhla 45s so Im going to rebuild them and see how I go.
