Hate to be 'that guy', but will that grille pass an IVA?, looks like a fail on external radii, and those indicators look like they might be too far inboard as well - check the guidance in the IVA manual for that....and while there, check they aren't too far recessed so that they can meet the angle of view requirements. Yes, it's a PITA, but quicker, cheaper & easier to get it right now rather than later.

still waiting on westfield to arrange transportation, they said this week ,so in the mean time i tried to start it again , a get a loud ticking noise from this mitsubishi sensor , don’t know what it does but it doesn’t stop even with the key out

anyone have a clue?
so i disconnected the battery and went home
i had plans on rear lights once it’s iva’d and saw a moped scooter near me that had a rear light i liked the shape of , it only a brake light
got on to ebay and got the outer shell and one whole unit sent to me.
i then bought a brake light and indicator led unit and blended the two together

iam getting an estimate for the body painting from paintingclassiccars in eastbourne, i watch their you tube channel and they look pretty good at what they do ,so will see what numbers they come up with .
ordered the seat belts direct from trs seatbelts, they are made to order ,so 3 -4 weeks for them
seat comes from holland ,so again a delay and wait for that.
cycle wings for the iva i will probably have to make , mk sportscars sell wings and headlights so will go with them if i can’t sort something out

Looks like you dodged a bullet returning the car to Westfield, could be a very difficult position for anyone who has deposits with them or has returned their cars to the factory for work.
I hadn’t seen the Tipo 184 on their website recently so I wondered if they were still supplying the car.
Good luck with the rest of your build, you look to be close to the finishing line. After all the effort you’ve put in it’ll be great if you can finish off the build.

auto electrician came today ,
i had a haynes manual with me today and it has the diagrams in it which really helped today .
my car is a year 2000 but the electrical wiring was from a 1999 which we found out after about hour and half trying to work out why certain wires weren’t the right colour to the year 2000
i also cut a few wires which i thought wasn’t needed , turns out they were !
so i now have a handbrake light,
rear lights
indicators
hazard lights
brake light i had to adjust the brake pedal so it touches the contact pin so now it works, before the light was constantly on .
he’s now not available till 11th may , so i will try to get the body panels painted .
i got another estimate for paint from painting classic cars , £6-7 k
maybe it’s me but i was expecting around £ 3-4k but it’s been a long till since i had anything painted
what does anyone else think for cost to paint ?
more negative news circulating about westfield but no definitive answer yet,
i have also ordered a seat belt direct from trs in red , a bit different
and a seat from holland
so just cycle wings and iva stuff to get

For comparison on fibreglass, a repaint on a TVR in a normal colour is around 10k.
Possibly not the best comparator! No doors, no boot, (so no 'shuts'), no roof, no front (just a BIG hole)...seat arrived from holland very quickly, might have to give it a tap to get it to fit between the frame
i also fitted the wing mirrors to the dash panel
got the headlights wired up and working also
side step plate arrived also but i need to tap a thread info it to fit it to the body , darren normally does this before it gets sent out.
i bought it directly from the manufacturer so i’ll be doing that this weekend
headrest fitted
got these little brake lights and fitted them to some mounting points next to the headrest
probably not iva compliant but i will get some proper rear lights when i do an iva
i had to order this bracket for the seat from hungary this week also , bit of a pain to get as the hungarian bank does bank charges which i quite variable, so it nearly cost more in charges than the actual part but i’ve got to have it as the back of the seat is quite thin aluminium
also it’s official now with companies house that westfield have gone, the liquidators are based about 15mins away from me
