Hello Clive, having read this and your 962 thread front to back several times over in recent years I must say I am in awe of the projects and the skills and dedication its taken to get them as far as you have.

I hope that your new workshop is progressing and you will soon be back to getting the cars finished.

The LSX turbo car is off particular interest to me. I've been very close to pulling the trigger on an Ultima Evolution this last year, but despite them being utterly fantastic supercar slayers in factory spec, (And I say this knowing that every single commercially sensible road car on the planet is design compromised) I just can't seen to get over the improvements that could have been made. Which to my thinking match your alterations to a tee.

Would you like to make a very fast and loose estimate on when you may be in a position to produce a second "for sale" prototype if a price could be agreed? Aside from sticking with a NA engine and opting for the carbon brakes, spec wise there is very little I would seek to change.

Do you think this is something you could get stuck into in 2018 or will the workshop and homestead projects have all your time for the foreseeable future?

As someone on an other build thread has said, It should be a hanging offence to bump topics like these if you’re not the OP. furiouscurseredcard

A recent post on Facebook had a video of Clive negotiating his snowed in driveway so I suspect work on the workshop has not yet started again this year. last update was just posts being set in the ground.

Sorry for the slow updates lads. Yes winter and a few other factors got away from me last year. Having a 18ft tall walls, and getting old (well at least feeling it anyway) meant I felt I needed a platform lift. So i bought one in October but it never arrived until December... Much to my annoyance. So I lost the battle to get the roof on before winter.. Needless to say the wife wasn't happy seeing me resting, So i ended up ripping the rest of the basement apart and renovating that this winter. Plasters in at present so that's nearing the end for me (Wife decorates I just get the bones done) So we now have a Wet bar, New fireplace and TV setup with all the Automation of course light switches and heating etc all from my phone.... LED mood lighting etc etc. and 7" of insulation all around ....

Anyway I haven't really stopped boys just been distracted AGAIN.... The weather has now broken, been a longer than normal winter here in Calgary, but with 20+C weather last 2 days so pretty much all the snow has melted. Next weekend Its time to get on with the Monster Shop...

PPS thanks for all the comments on the thread, its good to see its worth the read smile

This make working at 30ft levels easy....

Even had to park the Evo this winter, the drive was just to deep to often... when your headlights disappear under the snow you know your ploughing the drive....

Good news I did manage to pickup a set of HRE splits over the winter. Just need a out rim strip and polish, no skuffs marks at all. Tires in pick are some ricers idea of a joke but they will be gone soon. 12.5" x19 rears 10.5" x 18 fronts perfect offsets, was super happy..

Oh cool ! (didnt intend snow pun..). Cheers for mini updates. Looking forward to seeing your workshop go up and get finshed. Even more looking forward to car updates.

I cant picture having to deal with any amount of snow let alone that! I've just fitted a wood stove into workshop but it'll rarely get down below about 5 c on a cold evening. That's cold enough thank you.

Yes bud 5+c is nothing here...... -30c at night not uncommon, so thick insulated walls and a heated concrete floor are a must for me, last shop was so warm in winter it was silly. Intend this one to be the same, but not heating with gass this time Electric only now, but with a 8KW Solar array and a Grid tie Deal that lets me reverse the meter and gain credits in summer, heating bills will be balanced out over the year to zero ( Apart from the taxes and standing charges which I can't avoid) .... but no gass bill I will be looking forward to disconnecting that Bill altogether :-)

Weather has finally broke and I'm all in ( and all ready sun burnt) on the barn build..... Trusses in production and should be done in 3 weeks.... 5 weeks away form Electrical service upgrade to a 50kva Transformer.... 400amps should be enough I think smile

Feeling happy not to be working on the house and playing with the real project..

Looking good Clive.
Is the slab going down on the level we see in that pick or are you going to dig out?
Puzzled why you did not do the slab first.

More pics please.
