Thought some of you might be interested in seeing the Factory Five GTM Im nearly complete with.

Its been a pretty big project and will have taken nearly 1500 hours to complete over the last 1.5 years. The car was one of the few "beta" cars sent out, and was the first car delivered to CA where I live.

In summary, we started out with this:

Many weekends, and LOTS of help from good friends Dan Pellow, Russ Thompson and Tracy Work, and we got to this point a few weeks ago:

Shots of the car in front of the FFR trailer during the Knotts Berry Farm Show.

While the car isn’t 100% complete, we only have a few details to work out and are almost there!

Here's a quick video that will give you an idea how the car sounds with the custom Kooks Exhaust created by Ron Richmond:

www.gtmbuild.com/galleries/videos/kooks-exhaust2.wmv

Heres a link to a video of my drive down to Huntington Beach in FFR's LS7 powered GTM the weekend of the show:

If you're interested in seeing the photo gallery of my build, go here:

The build log is located here:

Let me know if you have questions...

Nice looking car that must really stand out from all the Cobra replicas and fake Italian exotics that the US kit car industry seems obsessed with.

Have fun! driving

Great looking car. I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know what brand they are and where the tail lights are from and how much they are. Thanks

Thanks Guys.. appreciate the comments!

Kiwi, the lights are Hella. Not sure what they cost, as they came with the kit, but suspect you would be able to find them on their web site www.hella.com or through a google search.

I can try and see if I have a box with a number on it if you like.

Stunning car.

...but probably about the worst ever location for an intake air filter I think I've ever seen.....

..edit to add, I didn't spot the 'car not completed yet' so hopefully, providing a cold air inlet is on the list

Looks as if it uses quite a lot form the donor Corvette, which has to ease the build.

Thanks... and yep, we just ran out of time before the show. Agreed, as is, its not a good solution for sure. Already have a plan for a cold air intake and we'll get to it once the car's on the road.

Based on the rest of the build, it really should have been obvious to me that you'd not leave it that way...but I had to mention it.

Hi Albert,

Would love to report on one of these, but somehow don't think Haymarket would pay to fly my out to the US to do it.

Thanks for the reply and the link. I have search the Hella site for quite some time and can't find hem. To be honest their site is quite difficult to navigate around. If you are able to provide any more info on it I would greatly appreciate it. Part #'s would be awesome but anything would help. This is what it is going in...

Now that looks interesting too. smile

As far as the lights go, if you can't make sense of the Hella site you might have more luck here: www.s-v-c.co.uk

Since you can't buy them direct from Hella anyway I looked on one of their retailer's websites; Summit Racing, and found:
