NZ enquiry: the gold CKC car has S2000 seats and the rest of the interior was trimmed to match. We have just taken the door cards off because they fouled on the seats; we have made a flatter closing panel based on carbon fibre sheet. We have also addressed the doors dropping with a new fix, sealed the doors and sorted out the windows so it now does not leak and wind noise is much reduced.
Even the Sparco seats supplied by Adrenaline did not fir without fouling the door leading to door closing and sealing issues.
Do you have pics of the new door cards? Would you supply them to NZ and what would the cost be?NZ enquiry: the gold CKC car has S2000 seats and the rest of the interior was trimmed to match. Today was Certification Day.....
I have a couple of small things to sort out, but have been pulled up on the fact that the doors can be opened (from the solenoid buttons on the console) while the car is being driven.
Has any one else come across this ir is NZ a bit different?
I am not sure how you would have power to the solenoid when the ignition is off, and not when the engine is running? I guess a relay could resolve the issue. Just a bit of a nightmare to get to the wiring with the dash in place.... I am almost tempted to dispense with the solenoids and find a mechanical way of operating the latches

I had a weird door catch issue with the MEV 4X4. It had top hinged doors and was therefore required to have additional bolts to ensure they were not accidentally opened.
I was also asked to fit a buzzer to inform the occupants that the bolt was open when the ignition was on.
So you could consider fitting 2 toilet door bolts in a manner that does not damage interior panels, my guess is they may fall off once you get your ticket but it may be a way around it.

Don't everybody jinx me! But yeah, it's looking like it won't be long now (beat ya, Mark).

Thanks for all the help guys--I got a wiper coming in now.
I went to see the car yesterday (was hoping to pick it up, but we all decided it still wasn't ready).
The body and interior were incredible--a big congrats and thank you to Steve Bruns and Steve Monaco for their respective jobs.
I also was reminded how small the car was--a lot of the standard Impreza components might be too big for the car, like the steering wheel, shifter (very tall), and seats. So, if anybody has any good advice on smaller versions of those components, feel free to speak up. The main issue with replacing the steering wheel is that I actually have cruise control now, and from everything I've seen and heard, no aftermarket steering wheels allow you to retain the CC control...
