Wow....these cars are incredible....TOTALLY worth the wait! The 1000+ mile drive home was fantastic...a few things to work out, as she can run a little lean (planning on having a custom tune now that we're at sea level), and we got hit with the hardest rain I've ever seen about halfway back, and there were some leaks....and the interior can get warm with the top on, but all of that pales when you slip into the seat and get her out on the road.
We even went to our first car show and got an award on the way back. Here are some pics from the drive back:
Award for late model car
Already getting the attention from the officers of the law...
All the people at the car show opening ceremony wondering what she is:

I love this car!
Unfortunately, I was supposed to go to a rare car auto show tomorrow, but the car is still stuck at the detailing shop for the weekend getting a clear bra installed
You'd think I'd be used to this by now?
Well, I did still get to a recent local small Subaru meet:
Since getting her, I've replaced the sideview mirrors with new ones (the old ones were loose, cracked, and often rattled), got ultra high performance all-season tires, changed the headlight seals, and made some final adjustments to the interior. Still need a final tune, a custom cable for the six-speed reverse lockout, and need to install custom wheel center cap and steering wheel logos:
Oh, a softtop would be nice, too....But otherwise, it's been a hell of a lot of fun...
...though it can be scary when people try to start a conversation with you on the 75 mph freeway trying to figure out what kind of car it is...We don't have many custom/kit cars in the states, so when somebody can't identify one, it really gets their interest...

The car is looking great
The red rally car is in getting a its mot at moment and then will be off to paint shop for a new colour scheme.
Would you mind if I used down of your pics on the new website?
My pics? No problem--use as many as you want. You can also use whatever you want from www.murtaya.com or www.mymurtaya.com (if you use any that have credits on them, continue to give the credit). The red rally car is in getting a its mot at moment and then will be off to paint shop for a new colour scheme.

Excited to see the new site!
Excited to see Nick's car back up and Martin's newly-roofed car out and about.
I honestly didn't get this car to be a show car, but...
...Third award at as many car shows (this was at my hometown's annual car show). Heck, if she's as useful sitting still as she is driving around, I'll take it.
Even Evos love her:
After seeing a bunch of rat-rods at the car shows, I've got some interesting ideas for the future...
