Oh boy, it already looks shiny in the paint, now I have to be extra careful when installing everything... scary

Nice job so far.

love I LOVE this color on your M!!!
I've been working toward identifying a color for my own car. Something slightly less warm, but very much along similar lines.

Congratulations. A great Christmas present to yourself. Enjoy the holidays!

I have been looking forward to seeing it painted for some time. I haven't actually seen the car in person yet.

The colour is an old Porsche colour from the late fifties used on the 356....Stone Grey. A colour that Porsche brought back a few years ago for their lineup.

Have you seen that ND Mazda MX5 that someone posted? it has also such sort color with black wheels, it looked amazing, I would not have guessed on a color card that it would look like that Mazda.

Great piece, Ben - I was thrilled to see you'd bought an ND as I knew you'd considered it for a while.

How do you compare it to the NC? Is there anything you miss from the older car?

I love my ND3, owned from new and spec'd out with almost every option ticked. It could do with a beefier exhaust, though.

My Morgan 3 Wheeler obviously offers a more visceral experience (and dare I say more fun than a Caterham), but as an all-rounder, the MX-5 goes toe to toe with the 987.2 I owned back in 2016...

The metal or mica flake makes the color look a bit muted, to my eye. In those two pictures, at least.

I saw this, the other day, just as I was thinking about going back to the paint store, to have them mix it up for me. This is EXACTLY what I had in mind. Subaru H6Q Desert Khaki.

Like I said, very much along similar lines, and now I have a code to work with.

Depending on lighting/context/background this shifts between gold and sage green.

Looking good, do you place the front windshield yourself ? (looks tricky) or by a specialist since polyester body (flex?) and glas window , don't know, but what are your plans about such, I guess the rear window (or plastic?) as well?
