here's an original thought ,have nothing driving the fans motorwise , but make the fans very heavy ,so the high speed before a corner speeds them up ,then they keep running due to inertia and create downforce through the corner..(your stuffed if there's in no straight for miles lol)
Let's see. Original idea, fan in the back, heavy pendulum, . . . isn't that a 911?! GAjon said:
Hello Bernard, welcome back to planet earth.
What the fk is that , and, more importantly, what you going to do with it???
Hey John, What the fk is that , and, more importantly, what you going to do with it???
It was built as a class “D” Sports Racer, under SCCA guidelines, with an air cooled 1,000cc Kawasaki motor. It changed hands, and the next owner modified it for “B” Sports Racer rules, with a wheelbase lengthened from 76” to 80.5”, and a modified Porsche 914 engine and close ratio gearbox.
The chassis is made of thin wall chromoly tubing, the suspension and brakes are cockpit adjustable, with blade type front sway bar, and the brakes via screw type balance bar. It supposedly weighs 880lb, has 157hp, and I’m scraping about thirty years of neglect and idiocy off it. Very little was not loose or worn out, there were non-graded fasteners in the suspension, and some things were assembled by people with a very apparent death wish.
I want to do solo racing, to start with, then some track days, and after that, it should be fun to go vintage racing with.
You like?

it’s so light, that each component has to do at least two jobs.
The plan is to look for a wedge type fuel cell, as is used in some formula fords, and other small formula cars.

It’s been a while, since I posted anything in this build thread. As the little porker is still occupying my time, (build thread here: https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-proj... it’s still going to be some time, before I’m back on this project. Sooo, I thought I’d post a picture of some of the components I’ll be burying where they can’t be seen. The Pump is rated for more than I’ll ever need, 1,000HP.
