oh heaven forbid , in fact ,knowing your superb gardenmaster qualifications, it only emphasises your current devotion to your tvr in that you had let them get a tiny bit dry !

This, by the way, is why most of my plants are succulents (and also why all those that aren't succulents are sad looking).

. . . meanwhile, the car is making progress.
Fuel system has been pressure tested.
Engine pre-oiler has been run and is providing 20lbs.
Cooling system is leak free.
Brakes have been bled, are leak free and not stuck.

Car's new nickname could be Mimi.
For Myrmecophaga tridactyla.
The giant anteater.

Distributor has a new electronic module but isn't communicating with the ECU.

Other than that, it's ready for startup. Laptop is recognizing the ECU and we changed the basic parameters.
Clutch hydraulics still need to be bled.
Water temp sender is probably bad.
Or the gauge.

Then:
-Seats.
-Drive.

excellent bernard .

couple of hopefully helpfull things , block the area above the rad all the way up to the bonnet inside face , and, with bonnet shut , when looking in the bonnet mouth , spot anywhere air can get past the rad and block that too .

electronic dissys so often go wrong ,what i do, if there's a normal magnetic pickup and a wheel with metal teeth or trigger bars in it , is use a gm 4 pin module and the pickup simply triggers that .unless of course your ecu can just use the trigger pulse ok .

robert

I’m really looking forward to watching the video , with good sound, of your car on the road.

Hope it’s very soon!

I didn't want a magnetic trigger on the front of the crank, because of how much less of a compromise it is to mount it at the flywheel. But I never wanted to pay for the machining. Also, there's a lot going on, at the front of that engine.

Thanks for the reminder to close every little gap.

To me, it's about to transition from project to car, which is hugely exciting for me.
But also, I was standing there, looking at it, and I realized that when the project is completed, I'll have my dream car.

My gut instinct is that I'll like the sound.
So far, the fuel pumps are smooth but pretty noisy.

I love that!

What I'm hearing you say is that if I avoid accidents, I'll never have to make it pretty on the outside.

Thanks a lot!

To me, it sounds like a hammer driving nails ínto an unsecured board. Like it's turning at 1/4 RPM.

It'll be interesting to hear the transitions in sound as the revs climb.

hehe I think it needs some running in and then maybe fine tuning, its early days, but a win for now, it runs.
