Is it just the angle, or are those dials out of a Chimaera?
Moto
It does look like it has Chim dials. Eagle eye spot there!

lovely car, indeed not original and could mentioned it in the ad, say as a
Tuscan V8 "clone" or "replica" or based on a Tuscan V6.

outside that I like it biggrin (not thinking about that price that is ;-))

For me a car don't need to be original, almost none is...most are rebuilds anyway I guess.

I really do like the older models most from TVR, like the say Griffith 200 and Griffith 400 en Tuscan V8 models.

maybe one day I gonna own one too, a big V8 in front and with modern suspension, maybe a cage to make it more rigid, and wide tires and good shocks etc,
to get all the power on the ground without scaring yourself to much biggrin

Well, I've just sold my Esprit, so I can afford to make a start.

Going to begin with a new chassis, so need to decide now exactly what it is going to be.

V6 or V8? Roll hoop or full cage? etc etc.

Need to keep it in one lump whilst I get the original registration back on a V5, but that should be a formality.

The offer of a ride in mine is still open if you’re undecided.

Thanks, James. That would be great.

Are you planning on taking it to any events?

It would probably make sense to catch you while you are out and about.

Now I am the last person to be classed as a purist..But my view with your car is that There are far too few Original Tuscans left. Build it as a totally original car and tune the engine a little. The old Boat anchor is a lovely little engine and in perfect balance with the rest of the car..

A v8 car is a totally different proposition to a V6 car and will eat your money to do properly..Believe me when I say this..i've done it

I will post some pics of a proper v6 Tuscan when I find them. They are a lovely thing.

Is it a full moon? heightswitch praising boat anchors!!! Fully agree build it with a slightly fast road Essex, then it will be the car your Dad had, but brought up to date.

I'll look forward to seeing them.

I am pretty much settled on keeping the Essex, but now is definitely the time to make the decision, so I am giving it much thought.

But if ever there was a car that should be kept reasonably original, then this is the one.

Looking forward to getting stuck into it.

Neil,
In this case, though, his dad built the kit, so originality, and preservation don't relate to a "factory built" car.

Yep, it is rather lovely.

I was speaking to Mike.....

Hi, Mike. wavey

....only a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't yet seen his Tuscan in the flesh.

John Haggas, who only lives over the hill, also has a freshly rebuilt Tuscan, which I was looking at only this afternoon.

Both Mike and John have already been really helpful.

Call me a heretic, if you like, but I'd love to see three DCNFs on that.

But then you'd need a decent exhaust system, and beefy fuel pump, any before you know it you'd have better brakes, suspension, etc and a fairly modified car!!!

No not in my view, but if Pat wants a tribute to his Dad, he should build it pretty much standard with a few sensible modern updates.
