Hi all TVR-fans

When looking around on the internet,I noticed there are not many tvr-(classic) meetings around here
no offence to any club, but could not find much around here,
In the past I organised a few small meetings(aprox 40 cars)and people always asked when there was to be a new meeting in future,
after selling my previous car and buying a Tvr,the organising stopped, but now I would like to organise again if it would interesting enough(not for the Money!!)
The meeting could take place in Ostend (Belgium)
I do have the space(parking, space to meet,,,)only, could there be enough cars to organise something like just classics or more?
best time?
interest from other countries ,yes please,(Belgium is not that far for some people,Ostend is on the coastline)

just give me your opinions please

cheers

Rudy

Hi Rudy,

As said on the phone; count me in !

Maybe a few mails to the belgian, dutch, french and german clubs might help a little ?

Funnily enough the wife and I were considering coming across to visit Spa if there was any classic TVR racing on (especially Griffs). Could make it a double event for us.

HI Rudy
I would avoid August and September as there are a lot of other events on at that time Goodwood pre 80s etc September and August most people have a lot on with school holidays etc Spring would be fantastic May June.
Lets have a chat when we are at NEC in November and we see what other events are in the Diary for Classic events so it does not clash with other events>
We have the Ramsgate Classic car club which is just over the water from you and they are very active so contacting them there could be some none TVR cars that would love a trip across the water.

Here's an Idea...Why not have your meeting at The Zolder circuit and incorporate some driving activities smile

Good idea Neil.I initially thought Spa, but any circuit woild be good as a focal point/two event meeting.

Zolder!!!! No chance, it will never catch on. Be far better to have a Classic European meeting in UK, Ramsgate perhaps. Far better to have a load of non TVR,s, not in Europe, hosted by a French speaking Taimar convertible with a name like a French "lady of the night" surrounded by Austin Allegros and Morris Minors.

We should chat about it at Techno Classica where there will be about a dozen or more Classic TVR owners! Hang on , that would be a Classic TVR meeting in Europe. Never likely to happen.

I am up for a trip in June. There will be 4 of us. A TVR S3 and a Noble M12 (if he's allowed!)

Rudy,

Idea 'bout circuit got me thinking of Mettet, nice little circuit in the south of Belgium, would be perfect for a classic TVR meet (it has a 'corkscrew' in it........) sure the folks there would be happy to have us tearing around !
