That's quite unusual is it a MGA Twin Cam. If he does remember where he bought it would be great. Thanks Rob
EDIT the registration number looks like NL Newcastle, did your friend purchase it from John Brown's garage at Ryton.

Here's one of the Taimar Turbo I owned about 25 years ago, reg BRS733T. It's the one featured in Graham Robson's book "Turbo", I improved it cosmetically but mechanically it was 100%. Tiff Needell drove me in it at Goodwood and I've almost recovered. I sold it to a chap from Germany, does anyone know where it is now ?

Hello Peter Daggsy said:
I'll ask him but it looks like it might be a twin cam.
He will probably tell me the name and address where he bought it, how much, the mileage, tyre tread depth etc.
Daggsy - have you managed to speak to your friend - if the registration number is RNL 455 I think your friends car was actually a MK1 raced by Charlie Harrison. When Charlie raced it had a MGA 1588cc engine. It would be good to find out more.He will probably tell me the name and address where he bought it, how much, the mileage, tyre tread depth etc.

No sorry no period pictures, bought from Jason Len of XK's Unlimited in California, early picture of it on trailer when he got it. He didn't get round to finishing it before I had it, pictures of the white shell. Was proceeding with the restoration when Shipman acquired the car from me.
Have loads of pictures of the race build, finally ending up as we know it, pictured at Donnington Park on its first trial.
