That's great news to hear that you have found the car. it would be really interesting to have contact with the current owner and he may be interested to find out about some of its early history.
Although i have been lucky to own some great cars since then, I will always remember that Tuscan as being one of the most exciting!!
Many thanks for your efforts.
Richard
Here are some more pictures Richard
These where taken when i nearly bought the car after Jim advertised the car however he had second thoughts and decided to keep it and restore the car himself we have since become great friends and help each other out on the cars when needed.
Its slowly getting restored and will be great when finished.
It has needed a complete new chassis as the chassis broke in two many years ago after going to fast over a hump back bridge.
Engine was seized and block cracked so jim has really had his work cut out on her,

Hi Chris, The car is registered in Germany, I found 2 pictures on my PC, one noted Vixen S3 and one Tuscan...
so, I don't know for sure what type it is, but the Tuscan note came with the picture, but that does not have to say much.
Although I now replaced the 'vixen s3' in the Tuscan department.
here is that other picture
Thanks again Rene,so, I don't know for sure what type it is, but the Tuscan note came with the picture, but that does not have to say much.

I now know of vehicle search pages for the UK and Holland (RDW). Do you know of any similar search pages for any other countries?
Chris

Here's one of the Taimar Turbo I owned about 25 years ago, reg BRS733T. It's the one featured in Graham Robson's book "Turbo", I improved it cosmetically but mechanically it was 100%. Tiff Needell drove me in it at Goodwood and I've almost recovered. I sold it to a chap from Germany, does anyone know where it is now ?
It is still in Germany, but without the brown model band: http://tvrpre80s.de/4571fm-michael-p-deGTRene said:

Thanks for the extra info. I wonder if the Tuscan was originally LHD or converted. I'll try to get some answers from the Club.
Cheers,
Chris

Many thanks for the link. I suppose I understand the repaint (the Model Band was just a bit in-yer-face...) but I wonder why the original Wolfrace wheels were replaced ?
I am not 100% sure, but if I remember it correctly, he wanted to change it to 15”. 15” Wolfrace are very hard to find so he switched to American Racing.Daggsy said:

Does you friend recall anymore detail on the Mk2.
Rob
I'll ask him but it looks like it might be a twin cam.Rob
He will probably tell me the name and address where he bought it, how much, the mileage, tyre tread depth etc.
Yes it was a twin cam with twin 40's
He bought it off his employers son on a weekly deduction from his wages.
Will hopefully meet up and get more info to post more details soon as I'm off to France for 4/6 weeks on Friday.
