that looks lovely, better then new, love the chassis and body under colors.

and ow, guess there comes a V8 in it... MMM
Only a "small" V8.... with alloy heads to make it lighter than the Essex boat anchor and one or two 'improvements' to get performance to be around Taimar Turbo levels but with a little more grunt. It'll be my daily driver.

ah, I understand, but... stil a V8 and I bet some lovely music from the exhaust when its done.

I remember my TVR V8S around 2000, had something like 240ps, but the sound it made and the way it felt, gave you the feeling of 400 hp hehe

[quote=status]Update on "Sexy bit from Reading" (page 1...)

Just an observation, and I may be miles of the mark here.

That looks like a T5, and looks to be fitted with two rubber dampers bolted through onto the casting bracket.

Does that set up prevent the engine and box from shunting back and forward during braking and acceleration?

On my set up, it’s the gearbox support that does all the work.

Yup, T5 ex Mustang, along with the engine. To be honest I can't recall the shape of the Ford rear gearbox mount. They're two rubber mounts rather than just dampers. The setup follows one from a similar spec car so it should cope with the engine power reasonable well as long as the driver isn't too brutal rofl

My 3000M that I used as a daily in the mid 80s. I'd love to know what happened to it. I sold it to a dealer who saw it at the Bognor motor gala where I had it on display pn the TVRCC stand. It shows us having been exported.

KTF 779K - a 1972 Vixen in Greenwich.

Noticed its front end months ago from the end of a mews that is regularly locked. Ventured in yesterday and took some photos, and some searching showed it back in this thread in August 2016.

It was MOTed in July and had its tax renewed in November, but I don't recall seeing it move recently. It's right near Greenwich's appropriately named Junk Shop, the proprietor of which has had an ancient Morris and a beat up old Rolls Royce parked outside, and there are occasionally some other random older cars near it in the mews. Will stop in and ask if it's connected.

Nice update, I have pictures from 2014 and way before some oldies when it had (oeps that was 778) different colors over time.

Edit: I'm wrong... mixed the 778 and 779 to close... oeps sorry, but I will leave the pictures of 778 also in smile
