Adrian Venn is suggesting M10x 1.0 on the top fitting, metric surprises me TBH but with these cars anything is possible.

Adrian also tells us its a 7/16 UNF 20 thread on the slave, which sounds right to me as the slave is very common Triumph & Land Rover Girling fodder.

Thanks Adrian thumbup

Sorry i cant really help Dave.

I took the slave cylinder and bulkhead adapter with me and just asked my local hydraulics place to make the hose accordingly.

I`m ASSUMING the bulkhead adapter is just a normal jic end. iirc the copper clutch pipe is 1/4inch / 6mm.

Re the slave cylinder pic. My hydraulics place also provided me with the adapter that fits into the s/c first that the hose then fastens on to.

Can you not Wait until your car is off the road. Remove copper clutch pipe. Take the brass nut from the bulkhead end with you to get the correct thread and take the slave cylinder with you also. Infact if the clutch pipe is off its only a few minutes job to remove the bulkhead adapter itself and take that as well.

Sorry cant be any further help.

No problem mate and thanks for all your help so far, ordinarily I'd just whip the pipe off but the car is used too regularly to have it laid up.

I really just wanted to give Lloyds a kit of parts for the upcoming clutch and gearbox mods including the braided hose, but I guess they can source it.

If anyone can help with the fitting/union sizes please feel free to chime in.

IIRC the clutch slave is 7/16-20 UNF but needs confirmation scratchchin the block on the inner wings outlet I did gauge up because I was going to do the same Dave but then got fed up with keep side tracking on my engine build so stuck back the copper one rolleyes the one in the inner wing block was metric IIRC but forgot the thread sizes getmecoat

Thanks Simon, Adrian Venn also came back with the following on face Book....

Adrian is telling me it's an M10x 1.0 on the inner wing block, and the slave is a 7/16 UNF 20 thread.

The 7/16 UNF 20 it exactly what I was expecting as its the typical Triumph/Land Rover Girling fair I'm use to, and they're nearly always 7/16 UNF 20.

The M10x 1.0 Adrian gave me for the inner wing block was a surprise if I'm honest as I wasn't expecting metric, but now you've said the same it seems this oddball mix is right.

TVRs... you've got to love their Imperial & Metric split personality issues biglaugh

Thanks all thumbup

oh bujjer it banghead

I think this is a remove, check, and make it right first time job scratchchin

Cut once, measure twice right tongue out

Too many variables, too many chances to waste £20 or so making up a hose that could end up straight in the bin mad

More evidence I can't fix stuff from my arm chair rolleyes

I'm just replacing all brake and clutch lines at the moment. I belive the union on the inner wing is Imperial and the brake pipe connectors at the wishbones are metric.

Anyway it's the clutch I'm really interested in, did you ever confirm what the fixing sizing is on the wing and master cylinder (and clutch servo if you have that too)?
