TVR Vixen bonnet striker pins

Hi, Can anyone please tell me who might be able supply the bonnet striker pins for a Vixen. I have been informed that they are the same as Ford Anglia 105E? Both of mine were removed by the previous owner and to date have not been found by him, hence the search. Many thanks in advance,Jerry

If it's the 105E part then John at GoldenDays classic ford spares might have them.

My Vixen bonnet was hit by an articulated lorry, 18 months ago, from the side and one of the broken items was the bonnet pins. I discovered that they were also used on Lotus Elan +2's as well as the 105E Anglia. I contacted loads of different people and dealers both here and in the States with no success. They do sometimes come up on Ebay but I haven't seen any since I've been looking. There were a few Lotus dealers that showed them on their websites but didn't actually have any.

I am still looking but in the mean time I have found that the ones fitted to Rover 75s will fit if you screw the pin all of the way in and have the nut on the bracket on the opposite side to the pin. You also have to make a hole in the bonnet where the bracket attaches for the nut to go into. Not as drastic as it sounds and would be hidden if you manage to find any proper ones.

Thank you for the replies. Funnily enough, when these were found to be missing items, I didn't think they would be exactly "ten a penny"! At least there is one potential source and an alternative suggested, so thanks again.

I used these, I took off the nut on the end and ground it down level and it works fine

Nice to see they're back in stock, I rang them earlier in the year and they said they hadn't got any and didn't expect to get any more.

I have sourced a couple now thank you all from Pop Parts Plus, a supplier of Anglia and Ford Pop parts. They will be used and come at the same price as the new units that TVR Parts are showing but at the time the guy offered them via email, I grabbed the opportunity, as yesterday it appeared these pins were nigh on unobtainable. Maybe I should have been more patient... Thanks again to those who replied with assistance.
