My S1 Vixen project arrived with no antiroll bar and no brackets on the chassis for the arb to be bolted too
Any advice photos drawings long distant memories or suggestions would be appreciated on the best way forward

Hi that's my blog. I am glad my ramblings are helping someone.

If you check out the blog, you can see that I had (am still having actually!) issues with the ARB.

I have a pattern from another S1 restorer for the factory ARB, and I can let you have a copy.

I initially thought that the car used a spitfire ARB so I got hold one and tried it and it didn't fit, so I got rid of it. My car has some issues with the dimensions of the chassis and it now seems that the non fitting ARB could have been one of those. If you live anywhere near London I might be able to help as I do have a new ARB made up to the pattern so we could check if it fits before you go down the route of having one made up.

The ARB mounting bracket is on the bottom of the lower chassis member extending from the front of the member to halfway between the lower front wishbone bracket lugs. Its held on with a roll bar mounting bracket from the spitfire (Rimmers) but the bush is not the spitty one, its just a plain cylinder

Thanks for the update Unfortunately I live near Stafford so won’t be able to call round
the chassis doesn’t have the bracket welded on that then takes arb bush and support
I would be very interested in a copy of the arb design I could then get one made then offer it up and see the best way to mount the support and bush and fix a bracket
It’s a little odd that the chassis bracket is missing
