That looks like a labour of love project. Imho i would not want to pay more than the current bid. That will cost a fortune to rebuild.
To be honest i can never understand why people strip cars like this. It will take a big Van with a Trailer behind and lifting gear to take it away.
What a shame, maybe someone will fall in love with it.

It’s about buying as cheap as you can I suppose as it will take more than the price of a very nice restored car to do. If you have the time and ability to do the mechanical work yourself it will save you circa 10k in labour, but still lots to spend.

It wants everything doing so you know what you’re in for, nothing hidden

There can’t be profit in doing it to make money.
Unless it’s a bodge up.

As John says, you can get one already done for what this is gonna cost you, even using advanced man maths.

between zero and 1500 would be a reasonable price.

taking into account how much labour you need to invest, plus time and money...at the end of the day you may be able to buy a restored one for not much more....and this car you could enjoy straight away.

I'd say it's worth what anyone is willing to pay for it............current bid is £4k!

Imho there's no advantage already striped down.
You need to transport it to your garage/workshop first. It's easier as a rolling car to drag onto a Trailer.

I must say its been rather entertaining reading the various comments after posting this over here and comparing the comment's here with other forums.
Thank you some certainly did not disappoint.
All i will say is think of the person who has a dream to climb Everest.
He spends £1000s on equipment he trains hard spends a lot to get there spends out to get helpers and be part of a team.
He finally achieves his goal and stands at the top of the world.
What is that worth priceless.
Many of us have built things for years since we where kids.
Air Fix models train sets toy solders model villages dolls houses even our Gardens etc.
All cost way more to build than what they where worth when finished.
However some people grow up and say i wont do this any more as its not worth it as my toys are going to be worth little in comparison to what they cost.

Thankfully many of us never grow up and if it was not for those that never grow up all old cars would be crushed.

Andrew,
The man that goes to Everest has nothing tangible at the end of his adventure but he has realised an ambition. It was never about anything else.

I like the analogy with kids fixing and building as that's what many of us still are, but kids live in a different world where finances are an unexplored part of life and something of which many are blissfully unaware.

That aside, you should be aware of what things will cost and what they will likely be worth when done badly or well. I still think its all the money at £4K, but that's just an opinion.

This is why sooo many Classic Cars are no more.
The Kid who dreams and takes it apart and only succeeds in one thing, makes it dissapear into oblivion.
Everyone needs a dream but also a plan of action.
I think who has bidded already £4,000 OTT is already dreaming.

The TVR on eBay belongs to me and I dismantled it with a plan to restore and keep it. I was fully aware of the time, commitment and cost involved but circumstances have changed since then, involving a house move, family loss, births and job changes to name but a few. I have no problem reading any of the comments regarding the sale price, value etc... as I believe I've been fair in listing it with a low starting price and a realistic reserve, but I find comments on what I 'should' or 'should not' have done irritating to say the least, when you don't know my personal circumstances.

Good sale! It will now either be someone’s joy to restore or a pool of parts to enable an existing restoration. Either way it’s a step in the right direction.
