bournemann tvr - is it worth it?

i sent an enquiry to bournemann yesterday regarding their 3000m turbo. i thought it might be a one-off but they''re already building another one and will be doing more on a customer demand basis. has anyone got an opinion as to whether it''s worth it? it is ferociously expensive. rich

On their web site www.bornemann-fahrzeugtechnik.de they they state that they want around GBP 40.000,- for the 3000M displayed. That is a bit steep but then again it has modern technology and it's not more expensive than any current modell in that league. Still, I wouldn't want it for that money.

that's what i thought. the prospect of a classic tvr with a complete rebuild, more power, decent brakes and well set up suspension is appealing. but it is bloody expensive. i would have though at around 30k it might just be worth it, but 40k is hard to justify

Crazy money, I could build something similar for around £25K.Mind you I doubt it will stop some people who have a lot of free money laying about buying one!
