My car has a standard set of 14" T slots and I would like to fit it with wider 15" rims. Can anyone recommend a particular manufacturer/type other than
trying to source a set of wolfrace alloys. Also Bridgestone tyres seem to be the favoured choice for more modern TVR's. Is this still the same for M's/Taimars.

I have 15" Revolution RFXs on a Taimar (see picture in Pistonheads - Adverts - Track day cars)

I run 15x7" at front with a 19mm spacer and 15"x9" on the rear!!. Tyres 205/55 Bridgestone S02PP front and 225/50 on rear. The rears are bit too wide despite using the narrowest tyre for the rim. The arches need to be flared properly to clear, but with hard suspension they are ok on the road, only kiss the arches under extreme provacation (Cramer Curves at Donington at 100+mph, 2 people in car)

Unfortunately if you want a choice sticky rubber you need to move up in wheel size, If I was going just for a road car I would run 15x7s all round probably with 205/55s or 205/60s.

Remember as you decrease the profile the tyre footprint gets bigger (ie 205/60 puts more rubber on road than a 205/70).

Also the problem with many modern alloys, is that just don't look right on an old car. Try Imagine Wheels near Birmingham who make wheels similar to some of the old 70s/80s Compomotive Designs.
