As an aside, I have been keen on these for a while as the odds of me getting a late model Tuscan seems quite slim. The 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe has amazing resemblance I think?

It turns out they are pretty rare also. About 1,000 or so made, with all the "right" options, that drops to less than 300 or so. Anyone else see a resemblance? Especially for a USA car?

To the BMW Z5 perhaps, but a 2002 Tuscan?

PS. Good to see you back here, Bill

No offense, but a Pontiac Solstice, or the even better looking IMHO Saturn Sky, look NOTHING like a Tuscan in the flesh. Having both here locally to compare side by side I am in a position to attest to this.

Thanks for the welcome back Colin. I hope to pay a bit more attention.. I'll have to look at that Z5..

Ken, the coupe was only on the Pontiac and 2009 only. I agree the convertible looks nothing like a Tuscan, have you seen a Pontiac coupe in person? (YES, I'd rather have the Tuscan! )

Yes I have, not even close, like comparing a Apples & Oranges.

Have you seen a Tuscan in person up close?

Dodge Viper GTS is the closest thing you'll get to a Tuscan in both looks and ethos.

Cue a smart ass piece on jalopnik by Doug Demuro with tediously predictable quips and anecdotes about British car reliability. God forbid he ever found out about the back story around the speed six engine...his head would surely explode with delight.

Hi Ken, I missed this thread the first time round- great to see the spirit alive and well across the pond, I'd be interested to know what did you think of DDM's review?

Replacement looking lovely lick

My wife has decided we are to move from the UK to Ottawa. Before I agree to give up my job of 30 years and begin scoping the relocation, I want to check how I go about bringing my 2003 Tuscan S to Canada, where to get it serviced, who to insure it with, plus a load of other questions on TVR ownership away from the UK.

Just to kick things off I think the car has to be 15 years old or more to be allowed into Canada without restrictions. I'm in the US, where its 25 years. Hopefully, someone more Canada savvy can add more.
