Chimaera's in the USA

Haha, pretty much. I had a Giulia before the Chimaera, but it was "too big," plus the lack of a manual option here in the states meant I didn't really enjoy it nearly as much as the 500 Abarth. So it got shipped out, haha.

I live in SW Florida. It needs a lot of work so who will sell parts to the US?

Powers Performance used to and Maybe TVR PARTS. Pretty much any Landrover parts supplier should be able to get most engine related parts on your side of the water.

When I needed parts for my imported 1992 Griffith I found Powers and Racetech equally good to ship to the USA. I never heard a peep out of TVR Parts when I enquired.

And yes, regular engine service stuff can come from Land Rover suppliers like RoverNorth, but sometimes in your local NAPA, Advanced Auto etc.

I've found the Facebook group pages to be very helpful as well. lots of experience and knowledge there for sure.

Engine and gearbox are Rover / Land Rover / Range Rover
Rear diff drive shafts hubs and brakes are Merkur as are the front hubs and brakes (Sierra in Europe)

Thank you everyone! I have been working on making the luxuries others cars have work. Such as a window that will go up and not just down, headlights that have high beams, a speedometer that doesn't stick at 30 MPH,
fuel tank sender that won't show 1/2 tank when it runs out of fuel and an oil pressure gage. Loud rear wheel bearings, surface rusty frame and erratic idle round out the beast. But, I absolutely love driving it.

Any source for a wiring diagram?

I used Grundy. I have their Multi-Vehicle-Policy (MVP) and had several classics insured under it with them. No problems at all insuring my '92 Griffith when I imported it.
I'm in South Carolina.

any classic insurance will work, just make sure it's an agreed value (whatever you believe it's worth). I use JC Taylor.

Pleased to report that a 1992 4.0 Precat Griffith is about to leave Southampton on its way to CT USA to join my Chimaera.

Its going to be a long wait for the arrival :-)
