You are not allowed to change engines in a 24hr race..
so the busa engine is a no go. It really is not
powerful enough..

Affirmative - Corvette-based 6l Chevrolet V8. Actually, this engine isn't "24 hour proven" at all though; at least not in a prototype. There aren't any LMP spec customer Chevies available so it will be prepared by Lister as well.
(They were thinking about the Jag V12 but decided they needed something newer. Pity.)
You really wouldn't want the Cadillac engine - it never was any good.
