OK Despite getting no response on whether I should have a go at Stock or Hot Hatch racing, I have just been out and bought a 205GTI to enter in Stock Hatch.

Is there anyone on here who has a 205 modified for this and would like to give so me pointers or if anyone has the address of a website that could be of assistance that would help, I've tried the "Max-Power" type GTI drivers sites and they just tell me how to fit a "Wicked" ice system whatever that is?
Cheers Nick

This months (March) issue of Ingear mag has an article on preparing a 205 for Rallying. Fair bit of useful stuff which would also apply to the track, worth a look.

Best advice would be to go to a race and have a look at what everyone else is doing. Most of the drivers will be happy to let you have a look around thier car and give you information about what to do and what to avoid.
Secondly, have you got a copy of the regulations? They can be downloaded from the 750mc website along with the dates of races. I think the next one is this weekend at Brands Hatch.

Aprisa,

If you come down to Brands this weekend, feel free to drop by to say hi - I'm racing in the Kit Car series, and will be in an orange Westfield, number 99.

Thanks for that chaps, I have got the regs and worked out what everything should cost me. Joined the club and got my "Go Racing" pack. ARDS next.

Ed, Hi, I should be coming down on Saturday is all goes to plan as the Stock Hatch race looks like its just the one day. Will certainly drop by as I'm into all things Kit as well (see profile)
Is anyone else going?
Nick
edited to call you Ed after reading website, good on you for staying the course on your own.

Nick,

I'll probably be in the paddock a fair bit on Saturday, although my race isn't until Sunday. Look out for a silver Freelander, big white enclosed trailer and a green tent!

Does anyone know what time the first race is on Saturday, the Octagon site is useless.
Thanks Nick

Hi, I'll be there in Locost no. 20.

Drop by and say hello (we're in the pit garages) if you get the chance.

Will get there around 1130 as I can't get out of bed easily on a Saturday!
