Is there any way I can watch? My friend justin has let me down and the chap with his special VIP box is currently at the football

ETA: Not to worry, my VIP mate has his box set up now.

Once they put that spring rubber in at lap 11 it turned into rocket ship and was the class of the field. I was watching the in-car feed on nascar.com and he was just driving past everyone from about 30th to the lead.

Well done to Jr and the 88 team, they deserve it.

No worse than the Audi fest at LM. Still, great result for the 88 team, well deserved and long overdue, hoping it opens the floodgates for a few more (despite being British and not a redneck, I support Jr and the 88 team!)

had he been driving for any other team I would be over moon. Just cannot get excited about Jnr in a Hendrick car though. Have said before and will again, NASCAR lost a lot of true fans the day he signed for the team.

Time to go road racing!

No trucks.
Nationwide are in Wisconsin at Road America.
Cup are over in Sonoma at what was known as Sears Point, later Infineon Raceway.

Nationwide race will be on motorstv at 9:30 Saturday. Good news is Eric McClure will be back this weekend after his rather nasty shunt at Talladega.

Cup green flag is 8:19pm our time Sunday. This will be the last race before rule changes in cup, which will apply on 27th June, for an overview read here: http://www.buildingspeed.org/blog/2012/06/rules-ch... - summary is the side skirts are being raised and there is a change to sway bars.

Yep, Marcos is aiming for win No.2 Providing that ol' Ford holds together, I think he'll do it.

Just as long as he doesn't turn it off!!

Great Nationwide race!
Great drive from the winner and even Danica put on a good show and deserved better.

Why Ambrose doesn't stick to circuit racing is a mystery. He's clearly s stronger driver on twisty circuits than oval racing imo.

Missed the Nationwide race (Danica in the lead?!), but looking forward to this one, as they're usually always pretty interesting.

Danica was running genuine top 5 pace the whole race and putting overtaking moves on the front running cars, ubcluding one for the lead at one point, but got dumped in the gravel from 4th on the last lap.

They've all been very well behaved in the race tonight, not at all like Sonoma normally is ...

Enjoyed this race a lot do you know of JV was penalised for his move on Danica?

unlikely I would think.

After a ordinary cup race at Sonoma, maybe they should take on road america instead. Or maybe it was just the lack of regular cup drivers doing double duties that made it a great race.
tough to work out a fuel stategie there given the length of the track, a single green white chequer would add 12 miles to the race! Notice some cars even had wipers. Good stuff!
