Sky News - breaking news. Evidently straight from Schu.

When I retired in 2006 Michael tells me, "my batteries were empty and now they're in the red zone again"

Well hooray! Good decision to go, but bad to stay for next six races.
Firstly dangerous mostly for himself, secondly because the farewell to MSC circus will detract from The WDC

He'll retire - take up competition aerobatics - and crash.

I quite enjoyed seeing him in F1 again.

Whilst I'd agree that there are perhaps younger, more dynamic drivers out there, Schu brought a bit of character to the pack.

Will he stay on in the sport in a management/support role, do we think?

Must admit, thought he'd go to Sauber for a year - given the connection from the Sportscar days.

Bye bye.

Wish he'd go now rather than fanny around until the end of the season. I don't like him so i would rather he quit now rather than risk hurting himself or someone else.

Purely personal opinion. Never been a fan of his.

Can't wait to see him in DTM. DC had better watch out.

Good news, I think he has done enough damage as it is to his legacy
