Bloody rude in my opinion.
I've lost count of the amount if times I've noticed Jake's eyes and attention wandering during an interview, it's very noticeable at times and you're right, it is bloody rude.Bloody rude in my opinion.
I've watched Sky for the most part this season with the odd flick back over to the BBC, without Brundle it might be the other way around.
Sky's coverage is improving as the team gels, Lazenby is relaxing but there's still better folk out there I think. I don't think Georgie Thompson adds anything to the presentation and it would do more good than bad if they dropped her. I dont think it's her fault as such, see just doesn't seem to have a role to fill.

I'd say the commentary is better on Sky but apart from Nigel Roebuck's audio tapes then Beeb's is the better all round package - owns the pre and post race.
Lazenby is a poor man's Jake - actually I think he tries too hard to replicate his style. FFS get your own style.
Georgie Thompson is just a piece of meat. Only good thing she offers is wearing a nice figure hugging outfit.

For me personally i prefer the Sky coverage however the pre race show on SKY is too long and the content is way below the BBCs standard however they make up for that by having a good commentary team, good insight from Ant/Mcnish and showing GP2, GP3 live. The Red Button options are brilliant too. Post race is poor though, dont think ive ever watched past the podium ceremony on Sky more than 2-3 times.
Georgie was great on Sky Sports News and did a half decent job presenting on A1GP but there seems to be very little point to her being part of the F1 coverage.

F1 Mag had a poll recently that showed that around a third of Sky subscribers still used the BBC for live races. That's pretty poor feedback for Sky. A lot of people who are paying are still not choosing to watch...
I'm the same. It is Definitely BBC for me. I'm not keeping my Sky package into next year for a couple of reasons
1) The quantity is good, but the quality is just a bit low-rent compared to the BBC
2) I prefer the BBC commentary
3) I've realised that as F1 expands to 20 races I don't hve time to watch them all live
4) Murdoch. Phone Hacking. Kate Burley. The BBC has governance. Sky doesn't seem to.

An interesting poll would be to compare the current Sky coverage to ITV`s in year 1 and the BBC year 1 (after ITV).
Yeah, the BBC coverage is NOW more polished, but I`m sure if we looked back at the BBC thread when Jake started, we`d be moaning about that too. Well, it is PH, where people seem to moan about everything

No cable at my place and not allowed a Sky Dish, so for me the coverage is half-arsed. I've been unable to avoid any results when the BBC has delayed highlights, and I don't enjoy it when I know the results and the incidents that led to those results.
I gave up trying around the beginning of May, and I've discovered that I really don't care. It probably helps that I always preferred the bikes anyway.

Basically all the BBC had left was Jake, EJ and DC - sorry, and Lee McKenzie. I prefer Brundle's commentary and his observations to DC's. I was very happy with Crofty and Ant on R5live covering the practice sessions and Ted and Natalie in the pit lane are an excellent team. I watched the first couple of races on BBC before I managed to organise an upgrade to the HD package and I was so relieved to have the familiar voices back.
Much as I liked him, Jake is just a front man and he's really just there to link the segments. Lazenby's good enough for that. I'm not a huge Damon Hill fan, but I think I probably prefer his input to EJ's who can just be a bit too much of a clown for my preferences. I know Johnny's been the driver representative on the stewards at various races and if Damon hasn't he's been heavily involved in BRDC stuff, so there's plenty of expertise there, not just ex- and current drivers.
Interesting about Herbert and Hill. herbert is already quite relaxed in the role, but I do wonder if it will take a bit for DH to relax into the role, as he has been in a position of politics, so to speak, for some time? It may take a bit for him to get into the mindset of just say what he thinks?
Haven't watched the BBC since Sky have been showing F1 this year. Agree the quality isn't quite there (however during the race itself, no problems at all), but I prefer watching everything live as it unfolds. Plus, Sky got up to speed very quickly and do have strength and depth in the driver department, especially liked JV as guest contributor during the Canadian GP weekend too. I also watch FP when I can and all adds to the build up of each GP. Not sure I'd feel so immersed in F1 with the BBC offering.
