Kyle Kirkwood confirmed for 2023 in the No. 27 Andretti Autosport car.

This means Alexander Rossi is on the move, surely to Arrow McLaren?

I hope not, he's too abrasive a character like Power or Rahal.

What he needs is a few years in F1 to knock that out of him……oh, wait……

Surely some time in a wind tunnel would fix this, rather than wipers?
New article on the Indy road course wet race.

https://www.autosport.com/indycar/news/why-indycar...

Testing the screen never went as far as driving 20+ cars at speed together in the rain, so this was the first time it's happened. There are suggestions for running without the glass in the wet, effectively making it an F1 halo, and some asking whether the same would have happened with no screen because of the amount of water getting kicked up.

I must have missed something; why is the little knobhead Ferrucci in the Juncos-Hollinger car and not Ilott?

Edit: found it - Ilott's still not cleared to race after his Indy 500 accident

Haha. Ilott sustained a hand injury in the Indy 500 and wasn't cleared to race. Hence said knobhead.

Ilott was injured in a crash during the Indy 500.

Thanks Badger & ralph - a bit more digging has found that he's broken some bones in his hand, and was hoping to race in a brace (like Johnso did earlier in season), but breaks have been ruled to bad for that.

He took his hands off the wheel before the crash, but the impact threw his hand into the cockpit side so hard, it broke bones.

I love how angry Will Power gets, better than the robotic PR schooled F1 drivers sometimes.

Well that’s the worst 2 national anthem attempts I’ve ever heard.

Wtf has happened to Scot Mclaughlin? He was right behind Scot Dixon?

Don't answer, just seen he's trying to make reds last and has head butted the barrier. rolleyes

If it rains does that throw all tyre requirements out the window like F1?
