Odd move going Dixon & Rosenqvist. Lundgaard was a better long term option than SD, especially as hybrid has killed SDs superpower on fuel saving somewhat. But hey, Zack does make some odd driver signings

Dixon is 46. He's a great driver but how long can he go on for?

Rosenqvist too. There's presumably a reason he was dropped a few years ago, now he's coming back?

But Indycar teams and sponsors put a lot of credibility into the 500 and FR just won it so.....

As mentioned above, McLaren tend to make weird driver choices in Indycar. Siegel over Ilott/Pourchaire being one.

Realistically Siegel is a pay driver. It came out during the Palou contract breach court case that he pays up to $1.5m a season for his seat.

McLaren are going to enter Sportcar racing, Le Man etc and they want Dixon to head this as he was driving the CGR Ford GT in 2016 at Le Man and was very successful.

Good news for Indycar. With Denis Reinbolds passing and charters effectively slamming the door on an open path to a full time return there must have been serious concerns about DRR going forward. The charter system means its not going to result in extra cars on the grid but diversifying ownership across more teams would seem to be a good thing.

A huge missed opportunity to make something futuristic and sleek. Despite the different underpinings, more power and 100lbs lighter, it looks too similar to the current car. A casual fan who doesn't even know they're developing a new car would be hard pressed to tell the difference.

I know it's AI, my graphic design skills are far too poor, but with some prompting Co-Pilot gave me this.

AI slop maybe, but I do think it looks better.

Agree, think it looks really good, better than it looked in CAD when I 1st saw it a month ago

Late 90's era super speedway configured cars looked so slick

March 90C Alfa Romeo wasn't the best looking car from that era, definitely wasn't one of the quicker ones but special to me as it was my 1st race car project



So far enjoying working on the 2028 Indy car, hopefully the racing will be more exciting than the new gen F1 cars
