I did read a quote from Michael Andretti who said that Honda offered a reliable but slower engine or a faster but potentially fragile one. He took the fast one and opted to roll the dice.

Highlights of last night's incident packed Indycar race from Texas Speedway.

Crashes at 2:48, 5:27, 8:42 ( big one ), 14:40, and 23:45 biggrin

No-one injured smile

Used in this instance to ensure no team lost out or benefitted from the mandatory tyre change required after 30 laps, which was brought in due to earlier problems in the race caused by failing tyres.

Better than stopping the race on safety grounds

Last night's coverage by BT was a bit pants. They usually show all the laps with UK team talking when the USA crew take ads. This time we had all the ad breaks & three were yellows when we came back.

...and my BT box stopped recording 3 laps from the end frown

( I normally set it to record the next programme too, but forgot frown )
