Indiana only has 38% vaccinated. But there are 150,000 maskless Hoosiers at the Brickyard!

I know a lot of us Britishers hate it, but I love the overblown pomp and ceremony bks of the Indy pre race build up! My one guilty pleasure.

Now question is do I start on the wine now, or wait until the "gentlemen start your engines" command?
It’s very cheesy but that’s the US for you.

It might not be an endurance race, but it's an endurance build-up. I've already started on the Pinot Grigio...

Ah I'm not alone! Heading for the Malbec as soon as the command is given, its past 5 o'clock now so I'm allowed. Mrs Badger and the girl child are out, so I'm gonna be cracking on shortly.

Love the Indy500, but fk me this is desperately ste, a young black lad that can't sing, followed by an old white geezer that can't sing, all after some kids trying to shoot rifles.

please get on with the race FFS

The Pinot has been nicely chilled.

I keep thinking that these are the people who elected Trump. How much nationalistic chest-thumping can you shoehorn into a race build-up?

Roger Penske, an amazing guy if you look at what he has done. Always makes me laugh how he got around the 2 seater sportscar rules in the pre-CanAm series.

This is ‘merica boy. We lap up this stuff.

Actually I thought “Home again in Indiana” was a pretty good rendition.

I dont really see the need to point out the skin colour of the singers for any reason. But considering how often the british national anthem is butchered in F1, The americans have got us beat, back home in indiana is a long tradition. it could be sung by a dying cat and it would be cheered out there.

He’s got a lap advantage with the fuel and would’ve started with warmer tyres. Gained 7 places on lap 1

I like Will Power, probably because he's a bit strange.

Gamesmanship if you ask me. He started the race with warm tires as a result and is now racing through the field. The stewards should look into it as it’s a bit fishy.

Dixon ran out of fuel after the commentators saying the young guys aren’t smart with fuel saving. LOL.
