Damon Hill Watching the Wheels
Discussion
Read it myself too, very well put together.
Graham died on my 10th birthday, so knew his fathers story quite well. I've met Damon a few times over the years and he is quite a shy chap until he feels comfortable. He is a super guy, the book explains well how he feels about the whole fame in the public eye thing.

My long suffering sis in law bought me this for Xmas. I sensed in part what DH was going through but his explanation in clear detail really brings it home what he had to deal with. Remember ontop of the bagage he also had young children at home. Senna's death must have really messed up his head ontop of his father/son issues etc already there.
I remember an interview post Silverstone ein a bloke basically said hey you cone with me back to our motorhome and his words/thoughts were 'I'm not public property'.
Top bloke.

I'm about half way through the RB book, interesting but so far not as engaging as Damon.
D
Agreed, I ordered both at the same time. As said elsewhere, the RB book is more about management theory.D
I really enjoyed DH's book, and it was too cheap on Amazon in my opinion considering the number of five star reviews.
I went to an evening with Damon Hill back in November. I will always be a big Damon Hill fan. I still remember him watching him cross the line at Suzuka in 1996. Murry's words of 'I've got to stop because I've got a lump in my throat' are etched in my memory.
I don't recall a commentator getting that emotional over a title win since that day in 1996.

I finished Damon's book last night, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Then again, the F1 aspects of the book cover my own era of interest in the sport.
I also read Max Mosley's autobiography last week. Actually I got about 2/3 through, but never finished it. Still not sure which section of my 'library' to keep it in...
It's interesting to read accounts of the same era of F1 from both a top driver and Mosley, and relate both to the current state of F1.
