I heard of an incident where a car (non BTCC) failed a failed with a rear wing infringement. The team claimed it lost a fixing bolt due to accident damage. When the bolt was replaced - It was even more illegal biggrin

Normally I would say I had a cracking day watching the racing but after seeing the F4 crash right in front of me, its hard to say i enjoyed the rest of the day as much after that. Hope Billy is on the road to recovery soon.

For me, the decision to start the last race when they did was just stupid. After seeing 3 cars go off on the 2 warm up laps that should have been enough warning to say it wasn't safe. Have to also say well done to Aiden for getting his first win, he had the pace of the field and was well deserving of the win.

Anyway here my vid from the days racing, dose NOT include Billy / Patrik F4 crash:

I was going to mention this at the time.

Who else saw the idiot trying to remove the Ginetta junior car door hanging off by kicking the crap out of it ?

What an utter moron.

Did he expect some kid to race with the drivers door missing ?

I did wonder what was going on there! I assumed they couldn't get out of the car with it as it was and decided brute force was required.

I said for a while the Btcc needed to move on from the Plato v Team Dynamics show, but I didn't think Jason would disappear the way he has hehe

Must be sweet for turkington, I'd say if he wasn't nudged out of Subaru he would have stayed and wouldn't have a hope of the championship.

Master Plato is awful quiet on social media these days, no more mate this and mate that to his celeb "friends"......

Taken from the link

"Due to the injuries sustained and despite every effort, Billy has sadly lost both his lower legs and now faces a huge challenge to recover and return to a full and active life."

Was there on Sunday and saw the aftermath & knew things were not good.

How very very sad.

Just this morning I have read there's a media blackout at Subaru.
Seems to be more Plato, BMR have put their race report on their website with all drivers results but only comments from Ash Sutton...

An horrific accident, but I was somehow shocked to learn that Billy has lost both lower legs. I hope that this, while terribly severe, is the full extent of the injuries and Billy suffers no further complications.

What a shame cry

Any more photos of the rolled clio- pic 707? Just because i can be seen in 718 and am curious.
I was stood in about the same place for Billys crash and didn't realise initially, whereas some of the marshals at the other (far) end of the same gravel trap heard it and realised it wasn't good.

Desperately sad news about monger, although such injuries seemed likely from the nature of the accident. Hopefully the motorsport community will pull together to help him and his family through this.

Really sad news, such a shame for Billy, I can't imagine what he must be feeling right now.
