BTCC - Round Two - Donington Park
Discussion
A quick question for anyone who may know - would the same speed crash in an F1 car pretty much be harmless based on likelihoods with all of the extra safety etc?
Some F1 crashes have been seriously horrific and people have easily walked away but this one did look pretty much like hitting a wall square on to be fair.

An horrific accident, but I was somehow shocked to learn that Billy has lost both lower legs. I hope that this, while terribly severe, is the full extent of the injuries and Billy suffers no further complications.
What a shame
Same here, easy to see straight away that it was a severe accident but didn't expect the result to be quite as bad as that. What a shame
Absolutely horrific, hope young Billy battles through and can come back to racing one day.

Desperately sad news about monger, although such injuries seemed likely from the nature of the accident. Hopefully the motorsport community will pull together to help him and his family through this.
I think it says a massive amount about the motorsport community and fans that they've already raised over £90,000 in just a few hours. Dan_1981 said:
