It is a bit of a shock but I guess an opportunity has presented itself for Shedden.

I’m not a great follower of wtcc / wtcr.. where is Hondas cash from there going? I was under impression works teams weren’t allowed in tcr regs? Maybe it could be diverted to BTCC.

Yeah I think that makes them a pretty strong team.

Speedworks have confirmed Ingram this morning, first time they’ve mentioned his name this year so that’s good to see.

Might put a few quid on him for the overall crown this year, he was very strong at the start of last year so should be again.

Ingram targeting the overall title... not sure he'll be able to sustain it over the season with the ageing Avensis, especially when a lot of teams are rolling out new cars.

I'l be surprised if he's still with Speedworks next year unless they build a new car.

Looking forward to seeing who Team Dynamics sign and if Plato will stick with Team BMR

We will have to wait to see who they sign at Honda, looks like most of the big names have already been accounted for so maybe bringing someone from another series.

If Honda still aiming for championship then will need someone more competitive then Neal as i don't believe he has another Championship in him.

I’d be surprised if they didn’t bring in a top driver from somewhere else

Another championship or another team who has already announced their full lineup?

There’s a rumour floating around on another forum about someone who drives a yellow car switching allegiance but I can’t see it.

I still think Huff is best fit but Tordoff would be a great shout too, he’s definitely keen to come back from what he’s been saying.

He lives near enough to the team but no idea if there's any truth in it, as far as I knew he was staying put Scratch that, wrong end of the stick

I heard Tordoff is more or less confirmed somewhere else but he's been mooted for quite a few teams so who knows!

Huffy would make sense but again I'd heard he was signed up for another series, not impossible that he does both obviously.

Honda will want to win with this new car, so I can't see them messing about, I think it will be someone like Huffy even if it isn't Huffy himself.

Neal was saying in an interview at Autosport I think that they’re about a month behind on the development of the new car which is why it wasn’t there at the show. There’s a couple of things they wanted to do on the car that TOCA have since told them isn’t allowed under the rules apparently so they’re having to redo some work.

He didn’t say anything specific in the interview sadly so I’m assuming it’s something they can still get some advantage from even within the guidelines TOCA have given the team.

That fits with I've heard too. A lot to redo apparently!

BTW Ollie.........sorry I missed you at the Alfa launch - you were on the other side and it was so rammed I couldn't get over!

My fantasy pick for the Honda drive would be Jordan Cox (youtube "greatest overtake ever) would be great pr for Honda imo.

I've just heard that Aiden Moffat is off to BMR and Cicely have got hold of three licenses for this season.

Also rumoured that Plato might end up at BTC Norlin in one of their Civics.

The irony of Plato ending up in a Civic and then complaining about boost would be amazing hehe

I thought the rumour about the Subaru factory deal was that it was Plato’s deal to take where he pleased though? Unless BMR winning the title with another driver has given them more say and Subaru more allegiance with them now of course.

I can see bmr dropping too 2 cars for this year if cicely have 3 license then one will be from Aiden team and the 3rd has to come from somewhere, team hard 4th has come from motorbase apparently. Unless Stewart lines have sold up and that where that tbl has come from.

Still don't believe Plato will be at bmr and also think we are in for a few good surprises maybe even left till media day.

Absolutr BTCC noob here. Just booked tickets for Donington Park on 28-29 April. Never actually watched a full race before on TV so need to brush up on my knowledge before Donington!
