It’s either excellent trolling or Dan Kirby is going to announce an entry under Trade Price Cars Racing with a 5th Team HARD VW CC tomorrow lunchtime...
its pure trolling. team hard can't run any more cars than 4.besides there are no more licences available as theyve all been allocated.

Unless it’s just a sponsorship gig with one or more of the cars?
Seems a very elaborate ruse if there’s nothing at all...
they sponsor that team so its just a ruse to get more publicity;Seems a very elaborate ruse if there’s nothing at all...

There is nothing ambiguous about it - there are four VW CCs, end of.
I'm with you on this. Sure I've heard tom Ingram has two shells for the Toyota yet we aren't seeing two entries from speedworks. Could be wrong but I think if hard were going to run 5 cars they would've said when they announced moving up to a 4 car team. Plus if you check the btcc.net site they say how their first car wad ready, could be implying a rebuild on their cars hence a new shell? TinTopObsession said:

All fours have been undergoing work with Willie Poole and various updates over the winter - the car tested was the first one ready which is why it was shared between drivers. It's no surprise that teams have additional shells, the Mercedes that Oliphant is driving for example has been sat in the Ciceley workshop unused for a few years when they only had a licence to run one.MagicBoyUK said:
I'm not psychic, and you have not provided any reasoning and are avoiding the question. So not end of.
Anyway, I'm not here for a petty fight with an immovable object, so end of that discussion.
I'm not avoiding the question - I'm simply telling you that there are four VW CCs and any talk of a fifth is incorrect. Anyway, I'm not here for a petty fight with an immovable object, so end of that discussion.
There may be a fifth built to be used as a spare at some point in the future if the team wanted to build one, but as it stand there are four cars.

Eurotech have switched to the Neil Brown Engineering Honda engine.
We glossed over this but it’s significant news. That engine, coupled with an injection of cash from Wix plus the fact that they can see what changes Dynamics made in 2017 by looking at Simpson’s car and apply it to the other two means they have to be a strong contender, at least with Goff if not the other two.
I expect big things this year.

Well, it seems as if Dynamics will using a new shape Civic, with a Neil Brown built Honda engine, Eurotech are using the previous generation Civic again but moving to the (same) Neil Brown built Honda engine, Norlin are using last year's Dynamics cars presumably with Swindon TOCA engines, although I don't think that's been confirmed.
Basically, Eurotech are running the same combo Dynamics did last year and Norlin are running what Eurotech did last year.
All 7 cars were built by Dynamics though.
No idea what it'll do to boost compensation numbers, it's not as if Dynamics were loads quicker all year than everyone else so it probably won't make too much difference.
