I will not lie I'd like son to have a go at karts he likes watching racing and said he would like a go he's 4yr old and turning 5 in January so first of all is there anywhere in the Yorkshire area where he can have a go? And if he likes it what's the next stage how does he get into actually racing??

Cheers in advance

Hi lee

Best place to ask is on the forum at karting.co.uk

At his age you are looking at bambino karts but I’m unsure on the requirements etc

lots of info on this site:

http://www.abkc.org.uk/clubs/

best option is to go along to your local club when its their race day/practice day. Everyone, from my experience, is very friendly and will want to get you into the sport. Be prepared for lots of information. There maybe a cadet team that can sort you out a practice day before you commit, these teams are also good for general coaching/mechanics but obviously cost ££.

If you know your local club then check out facebook groups as well.

Enjoy!

Some here too, assume that 133cm at age 3 is an error though!

He's small and light and not even 100cm yet so I hope min height won't be a problem
