so sad . I was there when he interviewed Magnus Walker at East London Porsche last June and was superb that evening. RIP.

As I said on Twitter, I didn’t know him and had never met him but the internet makes you feel like you do know all of those people you follow.

Massive loss, you can see how loved he was by the huge amount of people posting about it online.

The tribute on Goodwoods homepage is quite something, if you’ve not seen it.

What a tragedy. Such a super bloke. Goodwood will not feel the same without his wise words and dulcet tones. RIP Fever

Massively saddened to hear this news about Henry yesterday, I loved reading his tweets about anything with a motor.

RIP frown

Dammit. I saw him interviewing Alain de Cadenet at the C&SC Ally Pally show just over a year ago - he knew his stuff and seemed a decent chap. What a rotten shame.

What a personality - infectious enthusiasm, a proper car nut and, by all accounts, just a really nice guy. Never had the pleasure of meeting him but followed him in the usual social media channels and enjoyed his Goodwood stint every year so I'll miss him in those respects. The fact that 'Fever' was trending in the UK yesterday is testament to how well liked he was especially when you consider how small the Motorsport bubble is, in social media/relative terms; hopefully that's a comfort of sorts to those who knew and loved him.

RIP HHF #Fever

This is one of the reasons I got into cars from bikes once I had kids.
Trying to feel alive on the route home before you tone it back for family life only works so many times and all you have to do is hit a Nissan on the A286 between Brook and Grayswood.

It's a sad day for everyone.

What a horrendous thing to discover, when I went on Pistonheads for a quick look today.

I don't want to believe it, Henry was for many of us the voice of Goodwood, amongst his many other talents.
I had the pleasure of spending some time with him when he visited the Dunton Technical Centre as compare to introduce the British Ford GT drivers to Ford staff a couple of years ago. He was such a nice guy, as anyone who met him will tell you.

My thoughts are with his family at this sad time. Steve.

Amazing, they achieved the original £25k target in 24hrs, have raised it to £38k, and are well on the way to reaching that too.

He's truly one of those iconic voices, for example I associate Murray Walker with F1 (I know I know it's old now but I haven't watched F1 for years) - Tony Mason/Jon Desborough for WRC, and the chap who's name I can never remember who does BTCC/national events on-circuit.

Such a shame to lose someone like that, only hope he was enjoying life up until then (spending the day at Goodwood and then riding his bike, not sat in the office for example)

So utterly gutted. HHF and I only met a few times but we were buddies on Facebook and Twitter and used to correspond on an irregular basis about the matters of the day. Several months I posted a comment on FB about the Members' Meeting and how much I was looking forward to it. Next thing I know, he's sent me a DM inviting my father and me to be his guests for the weekend. The passes arrived on Saturday morning. So sad that I won't get to enjoy the event with him - I was hoping to be in the assembly area for the Group 5 demos which I know would have been the highlight of the weekend for him.

Of course, the true tragedy is that he was such an enthusiastic and dedicated family man. Aside from his huge passion for wheeled transport, his whole Facebook feed was always about spending time with his kids - Turbo 1, 2 and 3 as they were known - the founder members of the HF Junior Team. How utterly tragic for his wife and the boys - been thinking about them a great deal these last few days.
