Geoff, a really interesting thread about something I know little about - thank you for posting.

Something I have wondered about at the salt flats: what are the arrangements for viewing the speed runs. How close might people get to the pit area if they are not running themselves? I ask as it would be one of the items I would like to have seen in my years on Earth and heading over there at some point would be quiet something I would hope.

That looks like an absolute stload of LUCAS OIL. I expect you will be changing the oil quite often...

I thought they went of of business years ago ... and the drag race world started using other engine suppliers for a variety of reasons.
