That Audi S3 has never really stunned with its pace has it. So I'm not expecting too much from from him regardless.

Be interesting to see how he gets on with it though.

Some of the moves on Mansell were downright dirty and wouldn’t be allowed today, a certain level of roughing up still goes on though. But Herbert wasn’t actually that long ago. It was the “robustness” of the racing that he seemed to struggle with and I expect Blundell to experience the same.

Herbert was a decade ago. Things have moved on since then. I'd say it's a lot less rough than many tin top series but if you're coming from open wheel or GT it would be a bit of a shock I would think.

He was distinctly underwhelming in British GT a couple of years ago, I can't see him being at the sharp end very often in BTCC, happy to be proved wrong though, and good luck to him.

I think he's an interesting choice. I wonder how much of it is to get a known name into the team, so the sponsors can have an "oh yeah, him from the 90s" moment.

Still silence from two rather important garages though. Surely I can't be the only one holding out for a Proctor & Plato announcement from PMR?

I'd be amazed if BMR are on the grid at all. Plato has 20/02/19 as a banner on his twitter so presumably something happening then.

He's the one who has approached them with a chunk of money and an (as yet) unannounced sponsor, I don't think they've picked him as such although I appreciate there's a certain amount of 'that works' from both sides in any deal.

PMR and BMR having not announced yet is the big story for me, wonder how much longer they can drag it out...

Presumably they're both playing chicken with each other, especially if Plato has left BMR for PMR, whoever cracks first with a press release is pretty much going to give the game away for the other team.

BTC are announcing their second driver on Monday, that leaves Parker (and it seems to be likely it's Jelley, just hasn't been officially confirmed yet) and the remaining MG, which is another one with little to no rumours so far.

Other than Plato,

Which other 'names' from the last few seasons have yet to confirm a drive??

Any word on Cook, Sutton or Proctor??

It’s looking unlikely that Ash Sutton is going to be at BMR at the moment too. Issues with Adrian Flux sponsoring both Sutton and Plato and Plato not staying with BMR.

Not many seats left now...

BMR 1
BMR 2
PMR 1 (Plato?)
PMR 2
MG 2

Could Plato and Sutton end up at PMR leaving Proctor chasing the MG drive and no BMR ?

Would that leave space for two late entries?

I can't say this would be a surprise if it happened

I realise there are more important things about Honda pulling their factory in Swindon, including the job losses, but i was also thinking i assume this signals the end for the factory Honda team in BTCC?
