Friend of a friend. They tend to give reasonably accurate information but have been known to be wrong occasionally.
A manufacturer supported outfit with decent sponsorship and an incumbent title defender (maybe double champion by then) would be a great buy if BMR was up for sale. Would be a shame if it was just left to fizzle out.

The other piece of info I was given was that Subaru are pulling their support next year.

I’ve heard similar and that one of their TBLs is desired.

Not surprising given that they're racing a car that seems to not be available to buy in the UK even now. Subaru website shows the Levorg as "Out of Stock". Seriously. Out of Stock.

I don't think Dans too bad, he seems to be higher up the grid than Neal. This years Honda just doesn't seem to be as good as last years.

It would be good to see sutton in a different car, the BMW would probably suit him, Plato needs to go back to fwd, a power maxxed Astra would do him.

Didn't even sell 500 of them (usual accuracy caveats for this website apply):

This was rumoured earlier in the year if I remember rightly so wouldn’t be a huge surprise when they do announce it. It doesn’t seem like they’re throwing that much money at BMR, and doesn’t seem like BMR are exactly flush with cash given how slowly the cars were rebuilt over winter and have barely been tested.

BMR and a couple of Warren Scott's companies haven't submitted accounts with Companies House for a while. Be interesting to know how much they owe Subaru seen as they have a charge registered against the company. All the Subaru chassis's have mortgages secured against them too.

Wonder if that's why they now only run two cars. Can't afford the payments, so give the car back.

As ‘factory’ deals go that’s pretty crap.

I don't see why they went through to hassle of getting a factory deal if that is what they came out with. Plenty of teams have no factory connection and are still competitive.

The chassis Price was using this year has a charge against it from Subaru UK. Sutton/Plato’s chassis have a charge from a company called Liberty Leasing.

According to the Touring Car Register website it’s in storage. It was the chassis Sutton won the title with last year.
