Hi Everyone,

I am a beginner and evaluating low cost arrive and drive options for 2019.

Would you be able to suggest any reputable company providing an arrive and drive service in the low cost segment for 2019 that you are aware of (thinking mainly at smtg like Locost MC 750 and similar)?

I am really struggling to find anything via google.

Thanks a lot and have a great day,
Camillo

Best bet would be to get to a few race meetings and see who is running different cars but obviously that would exclude an early season start.

750 usually do a pre-season trackday that might be attended by some the teams or you can just contact the club and ask for suggestions.........

All of that said, don't bother using the words "low cost" and "arrive and drive" in the same sentence, you'll just be disappointed by the final outcome.

You could consider something like MX5s (Mk1) or MR2s. Probably about as cheap as arrive and drive gets.

I suspect the cheapest arrive and drive you can get is probably the Citroen C1 endurance series.

Lots of options there. I dont like the cars particularly but you cant argue with the costs.

Try Gary Parkes at GMP Motorsport

Citroen C1 Endurance is worth a look, although there seems to be quite a bit of contact. You can try Oliver at Preptech if you're looking for options - front running cars and a great support team. They also do a lot with MGs. http://www.preptech.co.uk.

Alternatively there are some teams offering arrive and drive for the Ford Puma Cup. Close racing with high driving standards. Panda Racing might be worth a call if you look them up (sorry, don't have details).

Give John a ring from JJ Performance. He does Arrive & Drive for the 750mc Renault Clio 182 single make championship and will take you through the whole process.

Check out the Petrol Ped's youtube series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-IHudCLO1-...

JJ Performance: https://www.facebook.com/JJ-Performance-Motorsport...

And if you want to buy a car and John keep & run it for you, that is also good (and a shameless plug): https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/94975/75...

Here it was in the CSCC TinTops with some questionable driving all round: https://youtu.be/eSJSMY8tG4s

i'm going through prices at the minute and c1 bang for bucks getting beaten by enduroka and trackday trophy, although i'm a big fan of preptech they throw in insurance.

i've not looked at the sprint racing yet, but I should imagine track attack race club is pretty cheap.

anyone know if people rent out cars in cscc tintops?

I think Blendini Motorsport offer what you're after for the BRSCC MX5 championship. Their cars always seemed pretty quick with Tom Roche at the wheel of them!

I've raced in 750MC Locost for the past 3 years, and am moving to the new championship starting 2019 called MA7DA - it's basically a Locost with an 1800 MX5 Engine and sticky tyres. Sharing a grid with sports specials. Much faster and more fun to drive than a crossflow Locost.

I race under SRB Racing who will be running cars in both MA7DA and Locost in 2019 - call and speak to Richard and mention my name - he's really good to deal with, and if he can fit you in, will look after you and make sure you have a good weekend. https://www.facebook.com/SRBracinglocostspecialist...

I highly recommend getting out there and trying it!

Why don't you buy a cheap racecar and try it that way? I'm sure that will actually be the cheapest option, albeit more hassle than arrive and drive.
We're in the same position and doing just that. For info we're documenting all of our costs on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtjFWcU9Oir3v3Ge4...
