When you watch an Indycar race it certainly brings home how far ahead the tracks have moved and how much more advanced even the basics like pit wall equipment has become in F1 and the other modern FIA events. It's like watching an F1 race from 20 years ago! The tracks look knackered.

When I watch Indycar it brings home how far backwards F1 has gone. I love the no BS approach of Indycar, identical cars so it’s down to the driver and teams (bar engine choice) small crew of people, simple aero, relatively inexpensive, cars sound and look good, plenty of overtaking ...it’s actually what F1 fans are calling for, and it’s right under their noses
