Croft Circuit Car Parking.

Thinking of a trip down to Croft this weekend for the Ferrari challenge races, can anyone tell me if the car parking is on site or just a big car park next to the circuit?
Is it possible to view the circuit from your car?

Not really, there are a few disabled viewing spots, but they're not very good.

2 on Saturday
3 on Sunday

Some customer “fillers” on the timetable but would have thought if this is your first visit another meet might be more interesting.

The circuit is good for access all areas, especially the pits.

The car park is off site to the right as you go in, its just a field, there are no viewing spots available in a car unless you are the course car!

I was at the Ferrari day at snetterton the other week and tbh it was pretty dull. Couple of the road cars sounded good though.

Thanks for that guys, maybe better waiting and coming down for the historic meet in a couple of weeks time. Looks like a bit more going on that weekend.

The retro meeting is a really good meeting, lots going on on and off the circuit.

In the days of the now almost defunct Intermarque series there were some interesting Ferraris , including an F50 . But TBH most road going Ferraris, especially modern V8 cars , might be quite quick , but sound pretty rubbish on a race track. Last really good one I saw was a gorgeous 275GTB at Goodwood MM . Oh , and the 250 GTO too..

The Classic meeting is excellent but entries can be thin compared to big ticket stuff like Goodwood but there is always an eclectic bunch of cars from screaming Imps to heavy metal Mustangs, some very diverse sports cars from 308GT4 via 911s to TVRs and 240Zs . The creme de la creme is invariably FF1600 as no single seater series has ever quiet matched it for very close racing. No aero , ultra light weight and skinny treaded tyres enable lots of overtaking .

Yep, 81. I really appreciate it, but im skint and the house is full of pics! If you have any from later meetings with me in it (you can tell the difference as I wear a full face, dad wears an open face) (also I’m considerably younger!) or me in a light blue Anglia 105e number 62, I might be interested!

My budget is slightly restricted due to an air leak in the head which is holing pistons to the point where there is an international shortage, but happy to pay!

I think you'll find this year's creme de la creme is FF2000 with 33 entries rather then the rather pathetic 14 of the 1600s! The front will be very closely fought with Stiles, Park, Simms and Pearson. The also-rans of Ridgway, Storer, Redding and Allen might get in the action too.

Yes you are absolutely right. What the hell has gone wrong with FF1600 - two heats and a final at HSCC events last year and two parts of bugger all this year ?
