Dan blaming Wookie is utter ste though. Very ungracious of him.
Absolutely agree with this. What a ridiculous expectation, it just smacks of an arrogant and misplaced sense of entitlement. Fair play to you Wookie for standing your ground, everyone has there own race to run and the final race is no different.

Think a lot more will come out into the public domain about what really went on between Plato and BMR now BMR are about to disappear forever...

Gosh, you seem to know a lot about it. Spill the beans.

I think BMR’s problems are well-known enough and have been since before the start of this season!

Cammish comes over as very arrogant and smug, however he does seem to be a decent driver, just needs to take some lessons on how to conduct oneself from Colin. Even if Cammish had won it would have been tarnished by the Neal incident which the stewards clearly saw as wrong. The best man won on the day.

That's the thing with Turkington, he seems to wait and make a fair move, it looked like in race 3 he caught you at druids and just gave you a nudge, rather than take advantage he held back and had another go later, i'm sure not many others on the grid one have done that. Considering the speeds and the differences between cars to drive at what looks like less than 500mm apart accelerating and braking without hitting each other takes some doing.

Oh and its nice to see Turks's engineer has the same principles as his driver.
Yeah and when he did pass me he’d clearly been working out for a few laps where he was stronger, timed a run up to perfection and got his nose up the inside coming out of Hawthorne so I would have had to have moved overly aggressively to block him or squeeze him.

They've been disappearing for the last couple of years now and are still here so, you seem to know more than most, spill the beans.

Lots of people on the 'net seem to be cherry picking parts of the Cammish interview rather. I wonder how politically correct many posters would be if they had a microphone stuffed in their faces after probably the biggest disappointment of their lives so far? If you read the whole thing he corrects himself later on.

No surprise but hope someone can still run these cars next year ( won’t ever be a front runner again).

They may have had more race wins than the total number of car sales of this car in the U.K.?!

I’ve only seen 2 on the road and one of them was at Brands hatch in the paddock, what benefit did Subaru get from this sponsorship if no one bought one? Just keeping some brand awareness among motorsport fans but no sales.

I've seen a fair few about to be honest, they're a decent looking car imo.

Be interesting to see if anyone takes them on. One is entered in the Touring Car Trophy this weekend.

Are Team Hard's VW CCs a bit long in the tooth now? Might they try the Suburus?

Tony Gilham said on tin top Tuesday recently the cars would be getting totally rebuilt over the winter (as I’d expect all teams to do), but he was viewing the rebuilds as building them into new cars. I think he also said the cars are usable to end of 2021 with the homologation regs

I don’t know any more than anyone else. They’re a team who’s owner has gone bankrupt, they have been running two cars they don’t own and most of their employees have been looking elsewhere for a while, so I’d expect it to be the end of them.

But, a few sound bites coming out of the BMR camp today suggest that might not be case, so as with everything at this stage, it’s a case of wait and see.

Disappointing to read a few of the comments. I'm not arrogant, or smug, or any of the things you say. I had just suffered a huge disapppointment 2 minutes from the final flag.
My comments about Ollie were in no way meant to be taken in such a way. The whole "should have bought him a beer" line should give you some clue to the tone of my comments.
Ollie had no reason to get out of the way, nor did I expect him to. He did not move aside for Colin either which is absolutely fair. My comments were purely based on my disappointment and of course I wish the race had gone another way. Did being behind Ollie those laps make a difference? I don't know. The failure was coming regardless.

There were a lot of contributing factors and what's done is done.

I like this website, I like fellow car enthusiasts. So before you start to attack my character maybe take a second to look at the bigger picture.

I won't go any further, I don't need to justify myself to anyone. And those who actually know me, and the fans that take the time to speak to me know I am none of the things said in this thread.

I'll leave you to your character assassination. Oh and Ollie, I have no hard feelings, why would I, you did nothing but your best for you and your team. See you next time!

Fair enough Dan, I'll admit when I was initially sent your reaction and read it I was a bit put out, but after I'd digested it I didn't really take it that you expected me to move out of the way.

I also don't agree with the public slagging, I certainly don't like it when it happens to me, and it does seem to happen to all of us at some stage or another.

Anyway, no hard feelings either, hopefully I'll be there at the next one thumbup

That's PH and indeed the majority of the internet sadly. It's easy to say st behind a screen where there's no comeback. It's easy to tear apart in the weeks after a comment that was made off the cuff when emotions and adrenalin are still high. Anyone reading more into it than that are generally s anyway or just looking for a story that isn't there.

I personally wanted to see Jordan win it, but to lose it in that way was a stty thing to see.

There's always next year, granted going from where you were on round 28 to be almost certain to win it come the start of round 30 must have been absolutely gutting, and the total opposite to what turkington experienced. Having someone shove a microphone and camera in your face moments after what happened must be difficult and given your aim is to win the title and have it ripped from you must not rank as one of the 2019 highlights, but that's racing, just like football we all have our favorites.

When your in the limelight we the viewers are always going to judge your on what the TV shows us and yes that might be a true reflection of you, no doubt that come across as nice on TV are the complete opposite in real life. Anyway chin up, roll on next year and don't forget to join in on the 2020 rumours thread. In fact we should have a PH team with you and Wookie driving a pair of MX5's................... smile
