Speculation, half truths, full truths, my mate who cleans Matt Neal's loo said... Let's have it all here.

So far all that seems definite is that Honda is keeping the same lineup. Cammish in for another 2 seasons and I can't see Neal calling it a day yet.

Pirtek pulling out with Jordan uncertain for next year. WSR down to 2 cars? A grid place up for grabs if so.

Laser/BMR shenanigans suggested here, if they merge to a 2 car team of Moffat and Sutton, that would leave another grid place up for grabs. Also leaves Proctor free.

Speedworks Toyota into a 2 car team? Tom and Senna?

Motorbase losing Shredded Wheat sponsor...
Surely Blundell's not coming back....

Speedworks have said earlier in the week a 2 car entry next season is unlikely, as always purely down to cash.

My monies on Rob Gravett finally coming backhehe

Blundell could well be back if there was a RWD car on offer or, as he seems to like the look of them, a Honda. He did say he was going to try and test one of the Hondas to see the difference from the Audi. He originally wanted to drive for WSR but the seats were all sewn up by the time he got his ducks in a row. Now there's a spare seat who knows. Mind you anyone with the necessary cash would want that seat.

I have a feeling that the 2020 season will have the fewest amount of cars on the grid for some time

Goes without saying, full factory effort with Yvan Muller as his team mate...

Subaru are out but BMR say they are going to continue - https://www.autosport.com/btcc/news/146635/subaru-...

Be interesting to see what car they go with as there aren't that many around and it's big money to build two new ones.

Other than that weird group at BTCC rounds who think after giving him money they own part of a team that doesn't exist, does anyone care? hehe

Might as well have Sytner and Rouse back too ....

How much more life do the FN2 Hondas have in them ....... as for Blunderell, not sure how he can blame the car when the other S3 is not doing to bad in the hands of Hill.

Probably another two years I'd say, they're pretty competitive at the moment.

The Audi is a complete dog of a car, and not ideal for someone used to a very un-Touring Car style of racing to cut their Touring Car teeth in.

If Hill was on one of the AMD Hondas this season he would have been up there with Butcher, not scraping into a reverse grid to claim his first win. He’s worked miracles to drag that car up there on occasion and score a win.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see AJ in the BMW next year with some official colours and some new sponsors. BMW see him as a title contender.

Hopefully see the Wookie and Tom staying at Motorbase - with new sponsors and hopefully a different colour scheme. New car? Based on the new focus ST?

Honda will stay the same surely as will many of the others

Interesting to watch Blundells movements I think.

Also Matt Jackson returning?

I just want to try and get a BTCC team in to my school for a visit - my class would love it. Or a trip to one of the workshops. Would be great to help teach my forces topic. Now I hear Motorbase are near...

I reckon most teams / drivers will be hoping not as that way they'll continue to keep their rear end / rear quarter crash repair damage bills down for another season. I think that applies to a Shedden return too hehe

In honesty though, I'd imagine a number of teams / principals will still remember the way he attempted to shaft Motorbase, not too long after signing a contract to drive for them, in his failed attempt to grab the drive at Dynamics.

As an aside, Prodrive do school & college visits to their factory.

To be fair it seems to be going a bit better than it has done since they put the Eurotech damper build on it but it has lacked development for a long time. I've got to hand it to him though, Jake did a really good job with it, as did Stuart my old engineer. They got pace out of it but it is never going to be an easy car to drive.

It has always been snap oversteery for whatever reason, particularly on corner entry. I had a chat with Mark at the start of the year and he basically said he was struggling with it because he's always been an understeer driver. I told him that I used to be an understeer driver until I spent three years in that car hehe

A lot more will come out about that story when Mat does return (I still think it's a case of when and not if...), but safe to say he came out ok in the end...

Can I be the first to say I have it on good authority that a big name will do a big thing but can't reveal it now, people outside of the secret club will find out in due course nudge nudge wink wink?
