Not so sure I would class it as a racing incident with Evans personally. First time I saw it I thought so. Then I saw how many times he hit Bird on the replay and the fact that he was the driver behind and had the opportunity to pull out of the move makes it more his fault than just one of those things to me.
In Evan's (and Buemi's) defence, that was the normal standard of driving last season. As a motor racing fan I though i would give it a chance. At least they are getting the most unpleasant round out of the way.
Malevolent oil pumpers pretending to care about the planet.Thats saudi's for you.
It there some significace to running the race round some sort of building site/sand pit?
If it's some sort of historic site of significance its even worse they have looped a car race round it but thats saudi's for you.
That commentator is still here and wore me out by the end and the picture went off the moment the winner crossed the line in race 2.
Apparently gunther is not happy he keeps calling him maxi. So he reverted to max for about 5 seconds
before regressing back to maxi.
I now think maxi verstappen due to this.
I guess my interest will drift in and out till the UK round. Thats another barrel of lies as there is no way they will go up that ramp as envisioned as the car would be launched into orbit.

I really like Jack Nicholls, he’s great on the BBC 5 live F1 coverage and he’s a good commentator on FE in my opinion, I was thinking about starting a thread yesterday championing him to replace Crofty. We need to promote the good ones quickly in order to cock block that tt Jake Samson.

yeah that annoyed my mrs!before regressing back to maxi.
I see the fia/stewards managed to make it all about themselves again by changing the order after the podium.
In answer to the OP, teres a chance we might pop down to the docklands if we're free and the mood takes us and there's late ticket availability, I supposed you can make a day of it. But unless you're specifically invested in the series its a poor days racing when you can pop over to brands or somewhere for any number bursting shedules of exciting racing

So you would rather they allowed people to keep positions despite overtaking before the safety car line, overtaking under yellow flags or using more energy than is allowed in the rules?Hardly making it all about themselves. Their job is to apply the rules which is what they did.

no, I'd like them to decide the race order before handing out the trophies. Some of those penalties were slam dunks so it makes a farce of the podium celebrations, not to mention denying the rightful contestants their moment in the sun, if you know its all going to change but need hours to deliberate have a non-trophy "subject to investigation" "finishing other" podium for the TV schedules or something. Or even streamline the stewarding process spit doesn't take hours to investigate and conclude an event everyone present saw happen in real time did in fact happen, although doing your job fairly, competently and unseen in the background might be asking too much for the fia & co.Hardly making it all about themselves. Any more wild assumptions?
What a great race one of the best in the history of the season. Finally have a track without a stupid chicane which only caused red flags. Dissapointing when bird was spun he was picking off places early on. That curved section really showed of the speed before the braking zone and created some great side by side moves.
Coverage still pretty shocking and im still not convinced on quali but its certainly giving unpredictable races which is what races should be.

Watched on iPlayer and quality was ok for me. Vergne was a late entry in the bellend to your teammate awards . Good race though, and whether planned or by accident, a lot of cars crossed the line on 0 or 0.1% energy.
No idea what vergne was trying to do there and when injured carry on blocking his team mate. Then carried on at full speed with a front wing dragging on the track. Also thought he was a bit of a knob tbf very arrogant driver.

Iplayer streaming quality is shocking.
Youtube in full 1080, Iplayer looks like old SD quality on an old tube TV.

If they had a "subject to investigation" podium then people would cry about that as well. Whatever they do someone will be upset about it. That's the world we live in. People just can't accept that not everything can be the way they want it.Any more wild assumptions?
Just too add bird managed to get up to 7th after all the amendments keeps in 3rd overall. Hope he can challenge for the title this year. Nice to see the tracks are changing too less tight chicanes and more high speed section and with the car easy to follow leads too good overtakes as well.
