A buddy and I are interested in campaigning an historic FF or FJ, but apart from yacking in the paddock, discussion and intel for beginners is hard to come by. Is there a UK-oriented forum for this kind of thing? Any other advice about how to go about this?

My Dad has done FJ for a couple of years now and I have been a frustrated spectator who may be joining in with the HSCC racing in an FF of some description next year. Not aware of a dedicated forum. There are some Facebook groups. Historic Formula Ford, Formula Junior Historic Racing Association....

The community doesn’t seem hugely active online but that’s not for a lack of friendliness or openness.

Speak to Dick Dixon (aka Dikko ) , at the HSCC . Dick is a lovely guy, races a Lotus 61 and is a font of all knowledge on the HSCC series .PM him via TenTenths and he'll see you right

10ths used to be a forum that covered just about everything

To be honest now, all it really covers in depth is Endurance and Historic stuff.

Be aware though they can be a bit stuffy at times. Especially the odd mod.

OP- fear not , I don't think an enquiry about racing a FF1600 will prove over controversial ..and Dick is the least stuffy person you could meet. Send him my regards .
